The Philippine men's volleyball team Alas Pilipinas is currently training in Europe as part of its preparations for the upcoming FIVB Men's World Championship which will be hosted by the Philippines.
The Alas Pilipinas Men recently wrapped up their training in Romania and will head to Portugal for the third leg of their camp. Last week, the team also trained in Morocco.
Bryan Bagunas, one of the Alas Pilipinas veterans, shared a glimpse of what their training camp looks like.
'We eat together, train hard together and push each other,' Bagunas said in a release from the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF).
'Training here is intense in the morning and in the afternoon session, we focus on strength, conditioning and game systems,' he added.
Bagunas is part of the Philippines' wide roster recently released by World Volleyball for the global tourney.
'Coach Angiolino has been pushing us to be disciplined and smart on the court, and I think that's making a big difference in our preparation."
The Philippines will open its campaign in the World Championship against Tunisia on September 12, leaving the national team with less than a month of preparations.
Recently, the PNVF launched the month long countdown to the World Championship in the "Set Natin 'To" event.
