‘Antiques Roadshow' films episodes at Savannah museum
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — A popular national TV show took over a Savannah museum this week.
'Antiques Roadshow' is currently on its 30th anniversary tour searching for America's hidden treasures and the crew made a stop at the Georgia State Railroad Museum.
The Coastal Heritage Society operates the museum and said thousands of people visited the museum on Monday and Tuesday to have experts appraise their precious items.
'We're a history-based and education-based organization that's been around for 50 years and to be able to partner with such a prestigious, well-known broadcast that focuses on our material culture and history and objects of the past, it's just really something that is very close, near and dear to our organization's heart,' said Nora Fleming Lee, CEO of Coastal Heritage Society. 'We're thrilled. We're thrilled to work with them.'
Georgia Public Broadcasting said three episodes were filmed in Savannah that will air on PBS in 2026.
