‘Antiques Roadshow' films episodes at Savannah museum
'Antiques Roadshow' is currently on its 30th anniversary tour searching for America's hidden treasures and the crew made a stop at the Georgia State Railroad Museum.
The Coastal Heritage Society operates the museum and said thousands of people visited the museum on Monday and Tuesday to have experts appraise their precious items.
'We're a history-based and education-based organization that's been around for 50 years and to be able to partner with such a prestigious, well-known broadcast that focuses on our material culture and history and objects of the past, it's just really something that is very close, near and dear to our organization's heart,' said Nora Fleming Lee, CEO of Coastal Heritage Society. 'We're thrilled. We're thrilled to work with them.'
Georgia Public Broadcasting said three episodes were filmed in Savannah that will air on PBS in 2026.

Why Prince William and Prince Harry are forbidden from inheriting Princess Diana's childhood home
Prince William and Prince Harry are reportedly not set to inherit Princess Diana's childhood home. Princess Diana grew up in Althorp House and spent much of her childhood there. The estate has actually belonged to the Spencer family since 1508, and is the official seat of Earl Spencer—which is Diana's brother Charles, who currently owns the property. Charles has four kids of his own, and despite the fact that all three of his daughters (Lady Kitty, Lady Eliza, and Lady Amelia) are older, his son, Louis, Viscount Althorp, will inherit the estate due to primogeniture (a feudal rule dictating that the rights to an estate pass to the eldest son). In other words, Prince William and Prince Harry aren't even in the line-up of possibilities—despite the home being their mother's final resting place, as per The Post. Lady Kitty actually spoke out about being skipped over, saying she's "totally pro-gender equality," but is "quite happy" with Althorp being passed to her little brother. "I just think it's the correct way," she explained to Tatler. "I like that the house stays within the same family, with the same surname. I wouldn't want it any other way for the Spencers. And I just know my brother is going to do an impeccable job." Charles Spencer also spoke about the outdated tradition, telling the Daily Mail "It's just the way it is. I get the problems with it as a concept. I also get the strengths of it, having worked to date." Rare PDA moment between Kate Middleton and Prince William goes viral – and royal fans are delighted
Prince William and Kate Middleton aren't exactly known for their public displays of affection and flirtatious vibes, but they had a moment at the 2023 BAFTAs that is once again going viral – and by 'moment', I mean they walked the red carpet and Kate was filmed sneakily patting Prince William on the bottom. While this video is a few years old, sources say Kate and William are even closer than ever lately amid the Princess of Wales' recovery from cancer. "They really love the simple things in life," a family friend told Vanity Fair back in April. "A little cottage in the middle of nowhere is their idea of heaven." "Getting cancer changed her, it changed William, and it changed everything between them. They were both shocked to their core, but they knew they would get through it together," they said. "William stepped up. He made Catherine front and centre of everything and will continue to do so. It's made them both prioritise family and each other over everything else." Another long-time friend added that "Like all couples, the relationship has ups and downs, but I would say they are stronger than ever, they are a very tight partnership. "It's very clear that William is deeply in love with his wife, more than ever, and she is eternally grateful to him for the support he has given her this past year and how he has been with the children. He has shouldered a lot." What a pair! The exact emotional moment Prince George realised he would become King one day
Wondering if Prince George has any clue that he's destined to be king one day? Apparently very much yes—despite the fact that he's just 12-years-old and his parents have tried their best to give him a "normal life." You know, one full of public appearances to the likes of Wimbledon and the Euros. Royal expert and historian Marlene Koenig tells Us Weekly that George is "undoubtedly aware of his future role" as the country's monarch, saying, "Barring any accidents or health issues, George will not be king for some years. He is second in line — as his father is the heir apparent — and his grandfather is the king." As for when George was formally "told" about being King, Koenig says "proper awareness" came after Queen Elizabeth II's passing in September 2022. Since then, George has "taken part in numerous public events" and Prince William and Kate Middleton likely spoke about "these changes" with him. As she put it, "The Coronation provided the young prince with the knowledge that he, too, would one day be crowned in a Coronation ceremony. George may be a 12-year-old schoolboy who loves sports, but he is most certainly aware of his future." Meanwhile, royal expert Robert Jobson says Prince William's been teaching George about "responsibilities as heir to the throne" which has been a gradual processes so it doesn't "freak him out." As for his grandfather's coronation, where Prince George was a page, Jobson says "It gave him a real sense of the grandeur and all the expectation. I thought that was quite important actually for George."
