Officers received a call around 9:45 a.m. that Mi Hogar, located at 4201 Granby Street, had been broken into and items were missing. Surveillance footage determined the man involved in the incident. Police launch homicide investigation after man shot and killed at Norfolk 7-Eleven

NORFOLK — Police are investigating a homicide after officers were called to 7-Eleven and found a man with gunshot wounds Monday night. Around 11:40 p.m., police were called to 151 West Little Creek Road, near the intersection of Colonial Avenue, for a report of a man who had been shot. The man, 29-year-old Daniel A. Burnett, of Norfolk, was pronounced dead at the scene, a statement from the Norfolk Police Department said. Detectives have not released additional details surrounding this shooting, such as a motive, the statement said.
