Police launch homicide investigation after man shot and killed at Norfolk 7-Eleven

NORFOLK — Police are investigating a homicide after officers were called to 7-Eleven and found a man with gunshot wounds Monday night.
Around 11:40 p.m., police were called to 151 West Little Creek Road, near the intersection of Colonial Avenue, for a report of a man who had been shot.
The man, 29-year-old Daniel A. Burnett, of Norfolk, was pronounced dead at the scene, a statement from the Norfolk Police Department said.
Detectives have not released additional details surrounding this shooting, such as a motive, the statement said.
