NEO student services honors 40 graduates at annual honors banquet
MIAMI, Okla. — NEO Student Support Services hosted its annual Honors Banquet on Wednesday.
NEO officials say, this year, 40 graduating SSS students were honored for their work throughout their academic career at the school. The event was attended by students, faculty, staff, and guests, whom officials say gathered to commemorate the accomplishments of future alumni.
NEO representatives say the highest honor given during the event was the Norse Pride Award, which was awarded to Jiro Cardenas-Bedford and Sakyrah Hill, both sophomores who school officials note as having demonstrated exceptional academic achievement.
In addition to student honors, the following awards were handed out:
Staff of the Year: Bobbie Pennington, Director of the Success Center and Honors Co-Coordinator
Faculty of the Year: Dr. Jim Hight, English Instructor
Administrator of the Year: Ryan Orcutt, Executive Director of Development
NEO officials state they are proud of all graduates who have been part of the SSS program and wishe them the best in their future endeavors.
