CRS inspects Yellow Line airport section

Kolkata: The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) on Saturday inspected the airport section of the Noapara-Barasat Metro corridor. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Noapara-Airport section or Phase I of the Yellow Line on Friday.
CRS, North Circle, Sumeet Singhal, surveyed all sub-systems, such as tracks, trains and emergency response features, from Dum Dum Cantonment to Jai Hind Bimanbandar stations and conducted a trolley inspection. Next came speed trials in his presence. Anuj Mittal, principal chief engineer, Metro Railway, and other officials were present. "Singhal expressed satisfaction on the readiness of the section," a Metro spokesperson said.
