Injured man taken to hospital after incident as three streets taped off by police
An injured man has been taken to hospital following an incident - with police standing guard at three taped-off streets. Police, paramedics, and an air ambulance were called to Hemlington on Monday (August 11) after reports of an injured man just before 5.30pm. Three cordons were erected across the Middlesbrough estate; outside a home on Cass House Road, the second on Fonteyn Court, and the third Dodford Road. It has not yet been confirmed whether all three scenes are linked. The North East Ambulance (NEAS) said they took the man, who was suffering from injuries to his shoulder and head, to hospital by road. A spokesperson for NEAS said: "We were called just before 5.25pm today (11 Aug) to assist a man suffering from injuries to his shoulder and head. "We dispatched the air ambulance and a paramedic crew to the Hemlington area of Middlesbrough. The patient was treated on scene before being taken to hospital by road."

Fire breaks out at Shanklea Primary School in Cramlington
Firefighters are tackling a blaze at a primary school, which started in the solar panels on the Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) said the fire began shortly before 14:00 BST at Shanklea Primary School in Cramlington and five crews were sent to the said the solar panels on the west side of the building were ablaze but no-one had been County Council could not confirm whether the school would open on Monday but said it would support "any arrangements that need to be made". Pictures taken from the scene show large plumes of black smoke billowing out of the building.A spokesperson for NFRS said: "Crews used two hose reel jets and a covering jet to attack the fire, along with four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus."The fire service was supported by Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service. Billingham police chase of suspected stolen car ends in crash
A man has been arrested and four people taken to hospital after a car being chased by police Police tried to stop a red Hyundai, believed to have been stolen overnight, shortly after 11:00 force said the driver failed to stop and a pursuit took place, which led to a crash on the A1027 westbound carriageway, off the A19 near Billingham, Teesside.A woman, who was seriously injured, and two men, as well as a man in another car, were taken to hospital. A 20-year-old man, from Billingham, was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and theft of a vehicle. A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We dispatched four double-crewed ambulances, a clinical team leader and were supported by Great North Air Ambulance's response car. "Three patients were taken to North Tees Hospital and another was taken to James Cook Hospital."Police said another man in the Hyundai fled the scene and officers have been carrying out searches, as the investigation force confirmed a road closure was in place on the A1027 between A19 Wolviston Road/Bypass in both directions, and advised drivers to avoid the area. A young man was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after he was struck by a motorbike. Emergency crews rushed to Northgate in Hartlepool just before 7pm on Saturday (May 11) evening after the incident.
