Fatal single-vehicle collision in North Middlesex under investigation: OPP
An Ontario Provincial Police logo in this undated file image. Middlesex County OPP are investigating a fatal collision in North Middlesex. The incident happened just before 11:30 p.m. Friday night. Emergency services were dispatched to Cedar Swamp Road between McGillivray Drive and Mooresville Drive in the Municipality of North Middlesex for a single-vehicle collision. According to police, a vehicle travelling on Cedar Swamp Road left the roadway and rolled over. The driver, a 37-year-old male from North Middlesex, was pronounced dead at the scene. Cedar Swamp Road between McGillivary Drive and Mooresville Drive was closed for the investigation, but has since reopened. Impaired charge laid after two-vehicle collision
A driver is facing charges after a two-vehicle collision in North Middlesex. On Saturday just after 7 p.m., emergency crews were called to the scene at the intersection of Centre Road and Nairn Road for a serious collision between a passenger vehicle and pickup truck. Four people were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the pickup truck was also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was then arrested. A 75-year-old Parkhill woman is facing charges for operation while impaired and dangerous operation.
