'Ultra-rare' Oasis T-shirts from 90s and 00s go on sale for a jaw-dropping £1,000 in Selfridges

Oasis fever is continuing to peak as the Gallagher brothers take their reunion tour across the UK, Ireland and the US - and Selfridges is betting on fans to shell out a small fortune for a chance to own 'ultra-rare, vintage' merchandise. With Noel, 58, and Liam Gallagher, 52, performing together for the first time since the beloved indie rock band split up in 2009, demand for Oasis merchandise is at an all-time high. Now, fans can get their hands on vintage T-shirts from the 90s and early 2000s, the height of the duo's fame, at the luxury retailer, but be warned - prices start at £650 and reach an eye watering height of more than £1,200. The merchandise is part of Selfridges' Summer of Sound range which features vintage band and tour T-shirts and memorabilia curated by vintage platform Not/Applicable. As well as clothing branded with the Wonderwall hitmakers' stylings, shoppers can also look around for materials from: Prince, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Rolling Stones, and more - with everything available exclusively in-store at Selfridges London. Fans can pony up a cool £1,230 for a vintage Oasis T-shirt from the band's 1997 Be Here Now album era. The 'rare collectible' features a print of the band on the front and the album name in psychedelic rainbow font on the back. Another T-shirt from this era can be found in the collection for a relatively more affordable £650 - but it is in fact a bootleg garment that would have been sold outside concert venues or markets. The platform describes it as an 'unofficial but era-authentic piece created outside of official merchandise channels', adding that vintage bootleg garments are 'rare and highly sought-after by collectors' due to the 'DIY nature'. For the more minimalist fan, £1,131 will get you an authentic Oasis T-shirt from the band's official merchandise in the 90's. The garment, described as a 'true relic from Oasis' peak', is plain except for the band's name emblazoned across the front with a structured bar graphic. Fans can go even further back in time to the album that started it all with a black vintage long sleeve featuring the band's iconic logo and the word 'Definitely' across the front and 'Maybe' on the back. Definitely Maybe was Oasis' debut studio album that was released in 1994 and contained the instant hit songs Supersonic and Live Forever, both of which feature on their 2025 tour setlist. The Definitely Maybe T-shirt costs £985 and is a 'must-have for collectors and die-hard fans of the Manchester legends', says Not/Applicable. The band's second album, (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, was released in 1995 and became a worldwide commercial success, selling up to 22 million copies globally by 2008 and becoming one of the best-selling albums of all time. Fans of this era will be delighted to see two T-shirts from the peak of Oasis' popularity in Selfridges' range, including a black T-shirt from their European tour and a white minimalist long sleeve. The tour T-shirt, priced at £975, features a blue-toned image of the Gallagher brothers performing on stage, with a question mark motif that establishes the album era. The back of the T-shirt showcases the same signature question mark as well as a list of tour locations from the time. Meanwhile, the white long sleeve T-shirt has a striking minimalist design on the front with a vertical red, white and blue stripe interrupted only by the Oasis logo. On the back is the band's name, a bold question mark, and the (What's the Story) Morning Glory? tagline - and it could be yours for £985. The range also includes a £975 vintage T-shirt featuring a black-and-white portrait of the Gallagher brothers staring down the camera - an image they have recreated for the 2025 tour. Perhaps the most recent garment in the range is a 2005 baby blue tour T-shirt from Oasis' sixth studio album in 2005, Don't Believe The Truth, also priced at £975. The front of the T-shirt features the classic Oasis logo with the album name in black and yellow underneath, while the back showcases tour dates and images of the band members. Don't Believe The Truth marked a period of major turbulence within the band, released after long-time drummer Alan White was asked to leave and was replaced by Zak Starkey, drummer for The Who and son of Beatles' drummer Ringo Starr. the most recent garment in the range is a 2005 baby blue tour T-shirt from Oasis' sixth studio album in 2005, Don't Believe The Truth, priced at £975 Fans may be left gawping at these prices, but there are some pieces that cost even more in Selfridges' Summer of Sound range. At the very top end of the range is an official vintage Snoop Dogg T-shirt from the 90s that features original licensed artwork of the iconic rapper. The black T-shirt was produced at the height of Snoop's early fame, said Not/Applicable, making it a 'highly collectible and authentic slice of hip-hop history' - all for a whopping £3,995. Selfridges' vintage Oasis merchandise drop comes after fans complained about the prices of the band's official merchandise collection with Adidas - yet the collection sold out immediately upon release. The exclusive Oasis x Adidas collection includes the iconic three-stripe T-shirts with the band's logo, matching tracksuits, jerseys, bucket hats, coach jackets, and more. Prices start at £40 for the bucket hat, reaching up to £85 for the track top, which can be matched with the £75 tracksuit bottoms. Fans who haven't been able to get their hands on the official Oasis merchandise have turned to reselling platforms like Vinted, where the garments are being sold for inflated prices, so consumers should be wary. On Reddit, one furious fan noted the jerseys being sold for upwards of £150 despite retailing at just £45.
