Josh Duhamel says beating Ashton Kutcher in a modeling competition made him feel like he 'won Miss America'
Before they were competing for roles in Hollywood, actors Josh Duhamel and Ashton Kutcher were duking it out in a modeling contest. Duhamel competed in the 1997 competition in hopes of getting exposure with a Hollywood agency, he said on the latest episode of the Not Skinny but Not Fat podcast. 'The word was that it was between this kid from Iowa, this kid from Oregon,' Duhamel told host Amanda Hirsch. 'The kid from Iowa was Ashton [Kutcher].' 'First runner-up between me and Ashton,' Duhamel recalled. 'They say his name, and I swear to God, I just won Miss America. I was so excited. I felt like they lifted me up and put [on] a sash and a tiara. My god. They didn't do this, but that's what it felt like.' Despite winning, it appeared at first that Kutcher had the last laugh, because "nothing happened" for Duhamel's career in the aftermath of his victory. 'I didn't even get an agency from it,' Duhamel admitted. 'Ashton Kutcher went on, got [a] Calvin Klein campaign, got That '70s Show, got all these things. I was so pissed. Because I felt like, 'But I won! I was the male model of the year!'' Two years later, Duhamel landed his big break on All My Children, and eventually nabbed roles in Las Vegas, Win a Date with Tad Hamilton, The Picture of Dorian Gray, the Transformers film franchise and many more. Ultimately, Duhamel — who said he and Kutcher have since had a laugh about their early days — said that not immediately getting success from his modeling win was likely better for his career in the long run. 'It was actually a good thing probably because I had to go out and, you know, hit the streets, and really sort of bust my ass to make anything happen,' he said. As for his side of the story, Kutcher previously told SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show that he was initially angry about losing the competition. 'Handsome son of a bitch, that f---er. I was so f------ upset at this guy for so long,' Kutcher said of Duhamel. 'And then finally I ran into him, and I was like, 'All right, you're good looking.'" "I had to give it up, right?" he told Stern, before joking that "coming in second" was the "story of my life." Currently, Duhamel stars as rancher Staten Kirkland on new Netflix series, Ransom Canyon. Kutcher most recently starred in the Netflix romcom Your Place or Mine and appeared on the sequel series That ʼ90s Show. Read the original article on Entertainment Weekly

Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer tie the knot, Entertainment News
Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer have tied the knot. The Twilight star, 35, and the 37-year-old screenwriter said their vows in the garden of their home in Los Angeles on Easter Sunday (April 20), surrounded by close friends and family, TMZ reports. In pictures obtained by the outlet from the couple's special day, Kristen can be seen in a causal matching two piece, while Dylan wore a sheer white blouse and gold skirt. The latter held a white and blue bouquet. The pictures show Kristen placing a ring on Dylan's finger and the loved-up duo making their first kiss as a married couple. Guests include Ashley Benson and her husband Brandon Davis. According to TMZ's sources, Kristen and Dylan obtained their marriage license in Los Angeles County on April 15. The pair got engaged in 2021 after two years together. The couple were in no rush to get hitched and had a "loose" plan for their wedding. Kristen recently told the Not Skinny but Not Fat podcast: "We're both, like, really casual people, and so we did this sweeping, tradition thing where we were like, 'Marry me! You marry me!'. "And then we just never planned a wedding because we were like, 'We kind of did it.' But we'll do it. I think we have a very loose plan, which is appropriate to us." Meanwhile, Kristen and Dylan have frozen their eggs in a bid to start a family in the future. Kristen said: "We've done really annoying things like freeze our eggs and stuff. So, if we want to we can." She recently admitted she is looking forward to having children one day and told Rolling Stone magazine: "I don't know what my family's going to look like, but there's no way that I don't start acquiring kids. "And also, ideally at some point soon I go, 'I want to have a kid.' I really want that to happen." However, she admitted she is "scared" of the idea of giving birth because she doesn't like the idea of feeling out of control. She said: "I'm not scared of being pregnant. I'm not scared of having a kid. But I'm so scared of childbirth, it's crazy. "I hate that. I mean, I smoke a lot of weed — I obviously self-medicate — but I don't like hard drugs. And I've tried — a lot. I just can't deal." [[nid:716908]]
