Syria Sends Emergency Medical Convoy to Suwayda Amid Ceasefire Implementation

By Ahmad El-Assasy The Syrian Ministry of Health announced the immediate dispatch of a fully equipped medical convoy to Suwayda Governorate, following recent security developments in the southern region. In an official statement, the ministry said the convoy includes 20 advanced ambulances accompanied by highly specialized and ready-to-deploy medical teams, as well as large quantities of emergency medications and supplies. 'This deployment is part of our national and professional duty to ensure the continuity of health services for all Syrians,' the statement read. The convoy will depart within hours, following direct coordination with the Governor of Suwayda, and in response to the need to establish safe humanitarian corridors. Ceasefire Takes Effect in Suwayda The move comes after the Syrian presidency announced a ceasefire agreement on Saturday evening between Bedouin tribes and local Druze factions in Suwayda, following days of unrest. All parties were urged to adhere strictly to the agreement, with accountability measures in place for any violations. The deal includes a 48-hour implementation window, after which the situation will be reevaluated. Later the same day, Interior Ministry spokesperson Noureddin Al-Baba confirmed that all tribal fighters had been evacuated from Suwayda, and that all internal clashes had ceased. The dispatch of the medical convoy underscores the Syrian government's efforts to stabilize the area and respond to urgent humanitarian needs as the ceasefire agreement begins to take effect. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks

Syrian Tribes Withdraw Fighters from Suwayda as Ceasefire Takes Hold

By Ahmad El-Assasy The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced that all tribal fighters have been withdrawn from the city of Suwayda, and that armed clashes inside the city's neighborhoods have come to a halt, according to the state-run SANA news agency. Ministry spokesperson Noureddin Al-Baba stated that following the deployment of Syrian security forces to the northern and western regions of Suwayda Governorate, and intense efforts to implement a ceasefire agreement, tribal fighters have fully exited the city and hostilities have ceased within its districts. Syrian Tribes Confirm Withdrawal in Line with Presidential Directives The Council of Syrian Tribes and Clans also confirmed the withdrawal of its fighters from Suwayda, in accordance with instructions issued by the Syrian presidency and the terms of the ceasefire agreement, as reported by Al-Ikhbariya TV. The council stated that its move is a direct response to the national leadership's orders and a commitment to maintaining stability under the terms of the newly reached ceasefire. Medical Convoys Dispatched as Situation Stabilizes Meanwhile, the Syrian Ministry of Health announced the immediate dispatch of a medical convoy to Suwayda, including 20 fully-equipped ambulances and specialized medical teams, in response to the recent unrest. This development came just hours after the Syrian presidency announced a new ceasefire agreement with local factions in Suwayda, which includes a comprehensive and immediate cessation of hostilities. In its statement, the presidency warned that any violation of the ceasefire would be considered a clear breach of national sovereignty and would be dealt with according to the country's laws and constitution. The recent tension in Suwayda has raised concerns about broader instability in southern Syria, prompting swift government action to restore order through negotiation and deployment of state institutions. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks
