Oasis singer Liam Gallagher's ex-lover sets record straight about their relationship
Lisa Moorish has called out the "twisted narrative" that has surrounded her relationship with ex-lover Liam Gallagher. The 53-year-old musician had a romance with the Oasis singer in the late 1990s and they had a daughter, Molly Moorish-Gallagher, together. Molly, now 27, was born on 26 March 1998, and Lisa insists she has had to endure false claims about the nature of her relationship with the Some Might Say singer - who was married to actress Patsy Kensit from April 1997 until their divorce in 2000. Appearing on Best's Suddenly Single podcast, Lisa said: "There's a lot of hate I get from the tabloid press specifically ... [They went along] with this sort of twisted narrative of my relationship with my daughter's father back then. "Once the media write about you in a certain way, it sticks. And people tend to just keep going with that. "So it's very frustrating because on one hand, I don't give a damn what anybody thinks about me. It's none of their business. "But it's also frustrating if you're trying to, sort of, release an album or talk about what you're doing in your creative life, and that's something from 28 years ago, and also without the facts." Lisa first met Liam, 52, in 1993, although she was friends with his older brother and Oasis bandmate Noel Gallagher first. The former Kill City singer describes Noel, 58, as being like "family" to her and a friend whom she cherishes to this day. She said: "I met Molly's dad in the early '90s, I think it was '93, actually it was Noel who I met first. People are a bit Marmite with Noel. In the public domain with the rock star thing people see what they see and they think what they think, fair enough. He's a friend and he's family to me and he's a very good man. I love him dearly. "Liam was actually dating a friend of mine. Just dating. It wasn't anything that serious. And that's how I met those guys. And I worked with them." Liam and Molly have grown very close in the past several years and the song Now That I've Found You - which features on his 2019 solo album Why Me? Why Not. - is inspired by his daughter and is dedicated to her. Lisa is adamant that she and Liam - who is currently on the Oasis Live '25 reunion tour - get on fine, as they are in each other's lives due to Molly. She said: "I didn't see [Liam] for quite a long time … We've both had different relationships since then, but we don't not get on.' Lisa also has a son, Astile Doherty, with Libertines frontman Pete Doherty, whose friendship she has always valued despite their romantic relationship ending. She said: "I love Pete in so many ways as a friend and someone that was much more in my life and my son's life.' But Lisa insists her days of dating rock stars are definitely over. She explained: "One of my big problems always was that I was a little Florence Nightingale. The rehab for broken boys is now closed for good. Instead of thinking, Liam did this or Pete did that, in the last 10 years I've started to look at who I'm ending up with. You can only change things if you look at yourself. When you have self-esteem issues, you don't make the greatest picks in relationships, and don't realise it's you that needs fixing and sorting out.' Lisa is currently writing a book about her life that will document her hedonistic days in the 1990s. She said: "I've written the first chapter of a book and so it will be said once and once only and that will be that. But it's not about that. There's a whole tapestry of my life." Who are Liam and Noel Gallagher's children and where are they now?
Oasis brothers Liam Gallagher and Noel have the support of their own children as Oasis reunites for their first gig this week in Cardiff after ending years-long feud. It's reported some of their children led the way in bringing the brothers back together. Liam has four children with different women: he has eldest son Lennon with ex-wife Patsy Kensit, son Gene with ex-wife Nicole Appleton, daughter Gemma with former flame Liz Ghorbani and daughter Molly with once-secret lover Lisa Moorish. Noel has three children with his two ex-wives: he has daughter Anaïs with his first ex-wife Meg Matthews while he shares his two youngest sons Donovan and Sonny with his second ex-wife Sara MacDonald. His second marriage broke down after 12 years in 2023. Noel's first wife Meg was forced to deny they had got back together after sharing photos of them kissing. So what more do we know about the Gallagher children and where are they now? Liam wasn't only estranged from his brother Noel. He was also an absent father to his daughter Molly Moorish-Gallagher for almost 20 years. The daughter of Lisa Moorish doesn't look back in anger, words that could have been inspired by one of Oasis' most famous tracks. "I don't have any anger," she told The Sunday Times magazine in 2019. "I'm actually thankful for how I was brought up with my mum and how my life's been. I wouldn't be who I am now if... It's all happened the way it was meant to happen. We just got on and I'm happy to have him now." They met for the first time and got really drunk at a pub in north London. It sparked Liam to write a song for Molly, Now That I've Found You. The next generation of Gallagher siblings had no bad blood, unlike Liam and Noel who split up Oasis when they famously fell out in 2009. "Our relationship is good," Molly told Tatler recently of her bond with siblings Lennon and Gene. She added: "We all have our own weird sense of humour and laugh a lot when we're together. It was pretty instant and easy when we met, to be honest." Liam is going to become a grandad at 52. In May, Molly announced she was pregnant with her first child with her boyfriend Nathaniel Phillips. The couple had confirmed their relationship in May 2022 and Molly made the move to Liverpool to be with her boyfriend. Her mum commented beneath the Instagram post: "Waaaaaaah!" Liam's oldest child Lennon revealed how the whole family reacted to the Oasis news. "I'm really excited for it," he told Esquire in 2025. "Like, the whole family's buzzing. It's going to be a great summer." Lennon will be at some of the gigs. Father like son, he's in a band too. Lennon shared his dad's wisdom: "When you get onstage, just belt it out. Just get it out. Don't hold back. Don't overthink it." As well as a musician, he's a model. Lennon looks the image of his dad but he revealed that the Oasis star wouldn't let him borrow from his wardrobe. He told Vogue in April: "I looked f***ing sick when Dad dressed Gene [his half-brother] and me in mini-mod parkas for school. I used to try and steal his clothes, but I always had more luck with Mum's." His mum Patsy remembered how Lennon stole a Sid Vicious T-shirt from a 90s shoot to discover her son was wearing it in a magazine. When it comes to love, Lennon is looking for an apartment with his model girlfriend Isobel Richmond. Liam's son Gene is also in a band of his own, Villanelle. The band supported Liam on his Definitely Maybe: 30 Years' tour in 2024. Also in 2024, the famous offspring had teased whether his dad Liam and Noel would get back together. He told The Sunday Times magazine: "I would love it but it's so beyond my control." As the son of a musician, he explained people's reaction to his decision to follow his dad into the spotlight. He said: "People say to me: 'Ooh it must be so easy for you to get a band together.' It's not. We're earning our stripes." Liam's daughter Gemma is the youngest daughter of the musician, just 12 years old. She was the love child of Liam and jouranlist Ghorbani. The singer was having an affair while he was married to Appleton. Their affair didn't last. Since then, Liam has settled down with music manager Debbie Gwyther. Meanwhile, Noel has three children. Noel's oldest child Anaïs has made a name in the spotlight for herself as a model. As the daughter of one of the most famous musicians of all time, she told The Daily Mail in 2022: "I would be tone deaf and irresponsible if I didn't admit to how privileged my life has been and how much of a leg up my upbringing has given me. "I'm really, really, extremely grateful for the situation my parents have been able to give me, and I'll be grateful until the day I die. Having a close relationship with her dad, they have been photographed together at high-profile celebrity events. Because of their age, Noel has kept his youngest two children Donovan and Sonny out of the limelight where possible. He shares the teenagers with his recent ex-wife and PR guru Sara.
