#SHOWBIZ: Hot FM's Keymi reveals scoliosis pain during AMT2025 awards
KUALA LUMPUR: Hot FM radio announcer Keymi, whose real name is Nurul Kamilia Afiqah Mohd Kamaruzaman, has responded to comments from a person who appeared uncomfortable seeing her heavily pregnant at the recent Anugerah Melodi Terhangat 2025.
In a post on Threads, Keymi, 27, disclosed that she suffers from scoliosis, a spinal condition that made attending the event particularly difficult for her.
"I'm not sure if you've ever been pregnant, but I sincerely pray you never have to go through what I'm feeling now. I'm pregnant and have scoliosis. I sat in the hall for over two hours without getting up," she wrote.
Throughout the event, Keymi endured back pain and swollen legs, and she had to tightly hold her husband's hand just to get through it.
"When my name was announced, I tried to stand up quickly with my husband's help so I wouldn't disrupt the programme's flow. The pain from my spine down to my feet made me want to scream, which I usually do at home, but I stayed quiet and endured it."
She also spoke about the deeply personal experience of losing her first child and expressed gratitude for the blessings that followed.
"On stage, my voice was shaking. My mind went back to the hardships I faced, of losing my first child, then struggling to conceive again. I was emotional. I never imagined this moment would be such a big gift from God."
Keymi concluded her post with a prayer for the person who made the comment, wishing them good health and ease in all matters.
She was named the winner of the Proton X50 Superstar Choice award, receiving the Proton X50 vehicle in addition to the trophy.
