Teen girl dies days after crash that claimed mother's life
KULIM: A teenage girl who sustained serious injuries in an accident that claimed her mother's life on Monday has died.
Nurul Suhada Balqis Mohd Azizudin, 15, succumbed to her injuries yesterday at 6.20pm while receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at Kulim Hospital.
Kulim police chief, Superintendent Zulkifli Azizan, said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
In the 4.40pm incident near the Padang Limau junction along the Kulim–Mahang trunk road, the girl was riding pillion on a motorcycle with her mother, Suhana Hamid, 39, when they were involved in a collision with a Perodua Myvi.
The media reported that Suhana, a housewife, died on the spot from severe injuries, while her daughter was rushed to Kulim Hospital in critical condition.
