[DOWNLOAD: Free WHIO-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] Multijurisdictional auto task forces, like the Auto Suppression Task Force in Dayton, are one of the factors decreasing vehicle thefts nationwide. The National Insurance Crime Bureau announced vehicle thefts are down 17 percent across the country. However, one Englewood man is on the wrong side of that statistic. TRENDING STORIES: Person dies of rabies after contracting virus from organ transplant Bagpiper killed while scuba diving; son who vanished 4 years ago found dead at home Brand owned by O'Charley's opening restaurant in Miami Twp 'I got out of bed and walked down and saw my glass everywhere ... heart dropped,' Kaden Kenworthy said. Kenworthy had his Chevrolet Camaro for just over a year before it was stolen from his apartment parking lot. He reported it to the police — a week later, they found out the suspect used a rental car to go on a spree. 'They used that rental car to steal a car and then stole my car and a car from the apartment behind me,' Kenworthy said. Kenworthy said he thinks the person or persons who took his car could be part of a complex vehicle theft ring. 'Maybe they've been watching for a bit. It's definitely crazy to learn that. The cops told me nowadays that is a new thing they do. They'll reprogram your car from a tablet or something with a key,' Kenworthy said. Englewood police last spotted Kenworthy's stolen car going southbound on Main Street with the help of cameras. The vehicle information was logged into a database. Kenworthy isn't sure he will ever see his car again. [SIGN UP: WHIO-TV Daily Headlines Newsletter]

'He lived for four months and knew nothing but pain and suffering,' Rastatter said. Seiker told the judge she would ask Jennings about their son's injuries, but never sought out medical help. 'I would ask him about the bruises, and he would just tell me some story and I would believe that story,' Seiker said. Rastatter said he did not believe her story or her attorney's claims that Seiker was a victim of abuse herself. 'There was nobody there to try to make him better, so he just suffered. He just allowed him to suffer, day after day after day, week after week, month after month, he just suffered. And so not only did you allow it, you didn't do anything to try to help him after the fact,' Rastatter said. [SIGN UP: WHIO-TV Daily Headlines Newsletter]

Logan's Roadhouse sets opening date for central Ohio return in former O'Charley's

GROVE CITY, Ohio (WCMH) — A national steakhouse, which once operated several central Ohio restaurants that shuttered after the chain filed for bankruptcy, has set the launch date for a Columbus-area location in a former O'Charley's. Logan's Roadhouse will begin welcoming customers on March 10 to the new restaurant at 1657 Stringtown Road, a shuttered O'Charley's that the steakhouse purchased in May 2024 for $2.6 million. The new restaurant will mark Logan's Columbus return, after the chain's Easton location at 3969 Morse Crossing and Dublin restaurant at 7100 Sawmill Road both closed around 2016 when the chain's previous owner filed for bankruptcy. West Virginia-based Fat Patty's eyeing Ohio expansion 'We're bringing more than just great steaks to the table — we're also serving up big barrels of beer, kickin' Roadhouse Teas and ice-cold Ritas, all with the same passion for flavor and fun that makes Logan's special,' said Shawn Van Winkle, Logan's senior director of marketing and digital, in a statement. The new location will bring Logan's Ohio footprint to three restaurants, with one location at 2170 W. 4th St. in Ontario and the second at 3720 Stone Creek Blvd. in Cincinnati. The opening will be followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. on March 21, and those who visit Logan's before April 10 can enter a giveaway for a chance to wine a gift card worth up to $1,000. The former O'Charley's is one of six Ohio restaurants that shuttered nearly a year and a half ago, among nearly two dozen locations that have closed in recent years. The Nashville-based chain closed the Stringtown Road eatery and a Westerville-area restaurant at 285 Cleveland Ave. in November 2023.
