2025 Yezdi Adventure launch delayed: New launch date expected next month

Classic Legends was all set to launch the updated Yezdi Adventure in India this month, specifically on May 15. However, because of the current situation and the evolving national context, the brand has decided to postpone the launch until further notice. The commuter segment in India has been a strong foothold for the two-wheeler manufacturers. With major brands updating and tuning the engine to comply with the OBD2B norms, TVS is now leading the segment with the launch of the Sport ES+ variant. The commuter is placed below the brand's Raider 125 and Star City+. TVS Sport ES+: Engine, Powertrain The 2025 TVS Sport ES+ variant borrows the engine from its parent model, however it is now tuned to comply with the stricter OBD2B norms of the Indian government. It is powered by a 109.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled fuel-injected engine and is mated with a 4-speed gearbox. The TVS Sport ES+ gives a peak power and torque output of 8.08 bhp and 8.7 Nm, respectively. TVS Sport ES+: Design, Hardware The TVS Sport ES+ resembles its parent model; however, there are a few design changes that make it look sportier. The Sport ES+ variant gets new graphics, which distinguishes it from the TVS Sport. The brand has added two new colors for the segment with the launch of the ES+, namely Grey Red and Black Neon. Talking about the hardware, the suspension duty is taken care of by the RSU telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. The Sportier avatar of the TVS Sport gets alloy wheels and the ES+ variant is the only trim that offers grab rails at the rear for pillion support. TVS Sport ES+: Variants, Price The TVS Sport ES+ has three trims in the lineup- the Self Start ES, the Self Start ES+, and the Self Start ELS. The prices of which start from Rs 59,881 (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 71,785 (ex-showroom).

HMSI sales dip 11% to 4,80,896 units in April

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India ( HMSI ) on Friday reported an 11 per cent year-on-year decline in total sales at 4,80,896 units in April. The company had dispatched 5,41,946 units to dealers in April last year. Domestic dispatches to dealers stood at 4,22,931 units last month, down 12 per cent as compared with 4,81,046 units in April 2024, HMSI said in a statement. Exports declined to 57,965 units from 60,900 units in April last year, it added. Product updates and recall The company introduced OBD2B compliant versions of the Dio 125 with new features. HMSI also launched the 2025 CB350, CB350 H'ness, and CB350RS with new colour options. The company announced a voluntary recall of its CB300R motorcycle for specific units manufactured between 2018 and 2020. Road safety and CSR activities HMSI conducted road safety awareness campaigns in 12 cities including Pune, Jaipur, Varanasi, and New Delhi. It also marked the 10th anniversary of its Traffic Training Park in Hyderabad. The Honda India Foundation concluded its Project Buniyaad training programme in Shillong, with 30 beneficiaries receiving job offers.

Road Safety: Expanding road safety awareness in India, HMSI promoted campaigns in 12 locations across India -Navsari (Gujarat), Yol Cantt. (Himachal Pradesh), Rajapalayam (Tamil Nadu), Ranchi (Jharkhand), Bengdubi (West Bengal), Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh), Pune (Maharashtra), Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh), Tiruvallur (Tamil Nadu), Jaipur (Rajasthan) and New Delhi. Additionally, HMSI celebrated the 10th anniversary of its Traffic Training Park in Hyderabad, advancing its efforts towards responsible road habits.
