Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Sells Over 4.80 Lakh Units In April'25
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India today announced its sales numbers for the month of April 2025. The company's total sales for April'25 stood at 4,80,896 units. This includes domestic sales of 4,22,931 units and 57,965 units exports.
HMSI's Key Highlights of April 2025:
Product: HMSI introduced the updated OBD2B compliant versions of the Dio 125 with advanced new features. Moreover, the company's premium motorcycle portfolio has been further strengthened with the launch of the 2025 CB350, CB350 H'ness, and CB350RS, featuring vibrant new colours. Aligned with the global market action, HMSI also announced a voluntary recall for its CB300R motorcycle for certain units manufactured between 2018 to 2020.
Road Safety: Expanding road safety awareness in India, HMSI promoted campaigns in 12 locations across India -Navsari (Gujarat), Yol Cantt. (Himachal Pradesh), Rajapalayam (Tamil Nadu), Ranchi (Jharkhand), Bengdubi (West Bengal), Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh), Pune (Maharashtra), Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh), Tiruvallur (Tamil Nadu), Jaipur (Rajasthan) and New Delhi. Additionally, HMSI celebrated the 10th anniversary of its Traffic Training Park in Hyderabad, advancing its efforts towards responsible road habits.
CSR: Honda India Foundation (HIF) held the valedictory ceremony of Project Buniyaad in Shillong, Meghalaya to mark the successful culmination of the training programme in Shillong, with 30 beneficiaries receiving job letters, paving the way for meaningful employment opportunities.
Motorsports: The MotoGP was held at Qatar and Spain in the month of April 2025. Marini garnered more points in fierce Qatar GP. Already doubling his points from last year, Luca Marini put together an impressive Spanish Grand Prix to make it four straight top ten finishes. Joan Mir was able to again show his undeniable speed but fell prematurely.

Honda CBR650R, CB650R Now Available Only With E-Clutch In India
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India launched the CBR650R and the CB650R in the Indian market back in January 2025. This was followed by the launch of the e-clutch variants in May 2025. Now, months after the launch of these bikes, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer has discontinued the base model of both motorcycles, leaving the e-clutch version as standard. It is to be noted that these versions of the bike are almost Rs 40,000 more expensive than the version without the automatic shifting technology. At the time of launch, the Honda CB650R e-clutch had a price tag of Rs 9.60 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the fully-faired supersport had a price tag of Rs 10.40 lakh (ex-showroom). Without the tech, the CB650R and the CBR650R were introduced at Rs 9.20 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. It is designed to enhance riding comfort by removing the necessity for the clutch lever in the operation of the motorcycle. This system is combined with a 649 cc four-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine on both models. The engine is tuned to deliver 95 hp at 12,000 rpm and 63 Nm of maximum torque at 9,500 rpm. The e-clutch works with a 6-speed transmission to transfer power to the rear wheel. Both motorcycles are equipped with a 5-inch full-color TFT display that features Bluetooth smartphone connectivity via the Honda RoadSync app, enabling users to access navigation, call notifications, and message alerts. The suspension systems for both bikes utilize Showa's 41mm SFF-BP inverted front forks and a rear mono-shock that has an adjustable preload. Regarding braking, Honda has equipped these motorcycles with twin disc brakes at the front and a single disc at the rear, along with a dual-channel ABS system.

Motorcycles formed the bulk of Hero's volumes with 475,164 units, up from 471,186 units last year. Scooter sales also climbed to 32,537 units from 26,937 units a year ago. Domestic sales grew to 488,997 units, while exports also edged up slightly to 18,704 units from 18,673 units in the same period last year. Close behind was Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, which reported total sales of 4,65,115 units in May 2025. Honda Two-Wheelers Records 5.5 Percent YoY Decline In May'25
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India announced its sales figures for May 2025. The company's total sales for May'25 stood at 4,65,115 units. This includes domestic sales of 4,17,256 units and 47,859 units of exports. The brand's FY26 (April'25 - May '25) total sales stand at 9,45,979 units. This includes domestic sales of 8,40,155 units and 1,05,824 units of exports. The data interprets that Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has suffered a 7.40 percent decline in domestic sales in May'25. However, the export witnesses a 14.34 percent increase. If we take into account the MoM sales, HMSI witnesses a 1.34 percent decline in the domestic sales compared to April 2025. Honda sold 4,22,931 units, which now stand at 4,17,256 units. Also, there is a 17.43 percent decline in exports, as it exported a total of 57,965 units in April 2025, while the export figures for May 2025 stand at 47,859 units.
