OJEE e-counselling process begins
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) committee under the skill development and technical education department started the registration and choice filling process for e-counselling for and Integrated MSc courses, on Friday. On July 3, the choice lock facility will be activated. Candidates will choose their colleges and lock their choices by midnight on July 4. The first round allotment will be displayed on OJEE website on July 8. Candidates will report online for admission between July 8 and July 11. The second round allotment list will be published on July 19. Online reporting for this round will be held between July 19 and 21. The second or Special Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) will be conducted from July 23 to July 28 for admission into vacant seats of these courses following the first and second rounds. "Allotment to special OJEE candidates will be done from the vacant seats only. Therefore, care must be taken while filling the choice by second OJEE/special OJEE candidates," said OJEE chairman D P Satapathy. The third or final round allotment will be announced on Aug 1. Online reporting will be done for this round from Aug 1 to Aug 3. All candidates will physically report to the colleges or institutions on Aug 1, and the reporting will continue till Aug 6. "After final allotment, all candidates who paid part admission-cum-seat confirmation fee payment and verified their documents can download the final allotment letter and report to the finally allotted institute or college as per the schedule. Failing which, the allotment will be cancelled, and the vacant seats will be filled in institute or college level admission," said Satapathy. He said the e-counselling process will guide students on how to choose their colleges and courses based on their JEEMAIN-2025 or OJEE-2025 ranks as applicable. "Students need to read the counselling brochure and step-by-step process carefully and stay updated with new notices, if any," said the chairman.

OJEE 2025 results announced, over 55k students granted ranks
1 2 Bhubaneswar: Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE-2025) results were officially announced on Tuesday, with more than 55,000 candidates successfully securing ranks across various technical and professional courses. Skill development and technical education minister Sambad Chandra Swain released the results booklet during a special result announcement ceremony held here. The minister also announced the toppers' names. This year's examination, conducted entirely in computer based test (CBT) mode in May, saw an impressive turnout with 80,324 candidates, about 86.84%, appearing for the examination out of 92,488 registered applicants. The examination was conducted across 70 test centres in all 30 districts of Odisha. Students in the examination centres set up outside the state also appeared for the OJEE-2025 at Kolkata, Ranchi, and Patna. Manmanth Behera emerged as the overall topper in across all specialisations, leading a distinguished group of toppers in various disciplines. Notable achievers include Jatin Meher in Gourab Swain in LE-Tech (Diploma), Sakhi Kumari in LE-Tech ( and Sagarika Das in LE-Pharma. Other top performers include Anurag Mishra (MBA), S Siseendri (MCA), Ansuman Pati (Int MBA), and Neha Priyadarshini ( cinematography). In specialised categories, Sanidhya Nayak topped film editing, while Hitesh Kumar Dhal, Asmita Subudhi, and Urmikant Maninnandan Sahu led in and respectively. The examination covered a wide range of courses, including various engineering programmes, pharmacy, management, computer applications, architecture, and nursing programmes. Officials announced that the rank cards are now available for download from the official OJEE website ( For nursing courses, the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET) will publish the rank list separately in due course. "All rank-holding candidates are eligible to participate in the OJEE counselling process for admission to various govt and private institutions across Odisha," said an official spokesperson. They say comprehensive counselling will consider candidates' ranks and other qualifying criteria for placement in their chosen programmes for the 2025-26 academic year.

OJEE to be held in three shifts from May 2
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE)-2025 for admission to various professional courses in colleges across the state will begin on May 2. OJEE, which will be held as computer-based test (CBT), will continue until May 12, with three shifts per day. OJEE will cover various undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including MCA, business administration, architecture, pharmacy, cinematography, sound designing and film editing, as well as lateral entry and integrated MBA. From this year, BSc (Nursing) courses have been included in OJEE, official sources said. The three exam shifts will be held are 8.30 am to 10.30 am, 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm, and 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm. Sources said about 92,000 candidates have registered for OJEE-2025, about 26,000 more than last year. Around 20,000 candidates have applied for BSc (Nursing). Registered candidates can download their admit cards from the official OJEE website and regularly check the portal for further details and updates, sources said.

OJEE to commence from May 2, to include nursing courses this year onwards
BHUBANESWAR : The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) 2025 for professional courses in the state will be held from May 2 to May 12, officials said on Monday. For the first time this year, OJEE will also be conducted for the nursing courses. Until last year, the OJEE included pharmacy along with other technical and professional courses, while the exams for nursing courses were being conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET). The exam has now been included in the joint entrance on the basis of DMET's recommendation, an official said. A total of 92,000 candidates - around 26,000 more than last year, have registered to appear for OJEE-2025. Around 20,000 students will appear for the basic BSc nursing exam. As per the notification, only those who qualify in the OJEE-2025 will be allowed for admission to basic BSc nursing course in the state. The NEET qualified candidates will not be eligible for admission to this course in Odisha, the committee has clarified. Officials said, the OJEE-2025 will be conducted in three shifts. The first sitting will commence at around 8.30 am, while the final sitting will take place from 4.30 pm in the evening. BPharm has been scheduled for all sittings on the first day. Apart from BPharm, the exam will also be held for LE (lateral entry) Pharm, LE Tech, MTech, Integrated MBA, MCA, BCAT (cinematography and sound recording and design), BPlan and LE Tech (diploma). The exam for nursing courses will be held on May 10 and 11. Candidates registered for the exams can download their admit card from the OJEE website.
