The second round allotment list will be published on July 19. Online reporting for this round will be held between July 19 and 21. The second or Special Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) will be conducted from July 23 to July 28 for admission into vacant seats of these courses following the first and second rounds.
"Allotment to special OJEE candidates will be done from the vacant seats only. Therefore, care must be taken while filling the choice by second OJEE/special OJEE candidates," said OJEE chairman D P Satapathy.
The third or final round allotment will be announced on Aug 1. Online reporting will be done for this round from Aug 1 to Aug 3. All candidates will physically report to the colleges or institutions on Aug 1, and the reporting will continue till Aug 6.
"After final allotment, all candidates who paid part admission-cum-seat confirmation fee payment and verified their documents can download the final allotment letter and report to the finally allotted institute or college as per the schedule. Failing which, the allotment will be cancelled, and the vacant seats will be filled in institute or college level admission," said Satapathy.
He said the e-counselling process will guide students on how to choose their colleges and courses based on their JEEMAIN-2025 or OJEE-2025 ranks as applicable. "Students need to read the counselling brochure and step-by-step process carefully and stay updated with new notices, if any," said the chairman.

NilgiriScape-2025: Ecologist stresses importance of restoring grasslands in Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve
Udhagamandalam: Stressing the importance of grasslands in the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve (NBR), Prof Raman Sukumar said, "Grasslands in the NBR are naturally determined by the climate. We need to restore these grasslands and sensibly identify wildlife corridors." Speaking at the 'NilgiriScape-2025' conference in the town on Thursday, Sukumar suggested that rolling back tea gardens, starting from Tantea (which was developed over natural forests decades ago) in Gudalur, should be considered to revitalize the area. He highlighted the importance of critical corridor lands and the need to secure these areas. He also noted that montane grasslands in the Western Ghats serve as the only habitat for the Nilgiri tahr. Sukumar lamented the significant loss of biological diversity in the Nilgiris, particularly the destruction of mid-elevation rainforests in the Nilgiris, with a similar situation occurring in the Anaimalais. Sukumar stressed the importance of incorporating the voices of indigenous people in conservation efforts, which, unfortunately, has not happened. Indigenous knowledge systems possess valuable insights into protecting these areas. Sukumar proposed that reconciling conservation with development should be the new mantra for preserving biodiversity. Benno Boer from UNESCO emphasized the importance of establishing more Biosphere Reserves (BRs) in India. Boer said reducing biodiversity loss is essential in the fight against climate change. The first day of the conference also featured a discussion with academicians Siddhartha Krishna, Rama Pandey, and Tikender Singh, focusing on zoning, planning, and land use in the Nilgiris. In her speech via videoconference, anthropologist Jane Goodall emphasized the importance of involving local communities. She stated, "The inherited knowledge of the indigenous community could be utilized while planning for the future to ensure a healthy ecosystem." Additionally, the conference featured a talk on the Geological Makeup of the NBR by Pranay Lal, a natural history writer. Earlier, the written examination for special OTET-2025 was scheduled for July 20.
