MLB Insider Calls Cubs Trade Fit for Recent 17-Win Ace, If He 'Becomes Available'
MLB Insider Calls Cubs Trade Fit for Recent 17-Win Ace, If He 'Becomes Available' originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Chicago Cubs could use starting pitching help at the MLB trade deadline if they want to be considered serious World Series contenders in 2025. Advertisement And ESPN MLB insider Jeff Passan highlighted a very intriguing trade fit on June 3, but there's a catch. This recent 17-win ace and Cy Young finalist finds himself on a team that was not originally expected to be a seller this season. Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Zac Gallen was identified as a trade fit for the Chicago Cubs if he becomes Reiner-Imagn Images After going 2-8 over their past 10 outings, the Arizona Diamondbacks have dropped to 28-31 on the year. If that trend continues, insiders around the league believe they could begin a sell-off that better positions them for 2026 and beyond. Passan is one of those insiders, identifying Diamondbacks starter Zac Gallen as a potential Cubs target to watch for if he becomes available. Advertisement After detailing a trade idea for Miami Marlins ace Sandy Alcántara on June 3, Passan added that "the calculus here could change if [Framber] Valdez or Gallen becomes available." "Among Shota Imanaga, Matthew Boyd and Jameson Taillon, the Cubs have a perfectly OK starting rotation to take into a playoff series," Passan noted within the article before warning: "Considering the lineups they could face in the NL playoffs -- the [Los Angeles] Dodgers, [Philadelphia] Phillies, [New York] Mets and Diamondbacks, among others -- OK might not be enough." Gallen is off to a rough start in 2025, similar to Alcántara, with a 5.54 ERA over 12 starts and 66.2 innings pitched. But this is still a 29-year-old recent ace with dominant stuff that we're talking about here, and the Cubs would benefit from either of the two high-end starters joining their staff. Advertisement Having said that, Gallen's potential availability via trade all depends on Arizona's status as a buyer or seller. This massive Diamondbacks decision could hinge on fellow starter Corbin Burnes' upcoming prognosis following an elbow injury. Conor Maynard vows to 'tell his side of the story' after Traitors baby drama
Conor Maynard says he's ready to tell his story The singer is believed to have met Charlotte following the filming of The Traitors, which she starred on alongside eventual winner Harry Clark. Harry is dating influencer Anna Maynard, who is Conor's sister. Charlotte had publicly claimed that Conor was the father and that she had reached out to him after learning she was pregnant. She had said she'd tried to be in touch with Conor but he had failed to respond, which left her in a dark place. "I'm always torn with what's best for the baby. For me and my mental health, and the damage that Conor has done to me, I absolutely wouldn't want him in my life. But, I'm an adult and I understand what I've entered into here and if that's how it has to be then I have to suck it up and put her first," she said on the show. Charlotte Chilton and her baby girl Penelope (Image: OK!/Stacey Clarke) "I would like it for her at some point in her life, but I don't think there's really much point at this stage, but in the future maybe - that might be nice for her. But it's got to be all Penelope's decision." However, back in March, Conor put out a statement to say he had taken a paternity test and was not the father. He wrote at the time: "Earlier this week, I took a paternity test regarding Charlotte Chilton's baby girl, Penelope, in the presence of her legal representative. Today I've received the test results which confirm that I am not Penelope's father. "I am glad that the speculation can finally be put to an end. All I would ask is that people act with kindness in response to this news - there is a child at the heart of all of this and that should not be forgotten. I wish Charlotte and her family all the best. Conor." Conor announced his new single would be out in a matter of days (Image: @conormaynard/Instagram) Conor has made a string of sporadic posts on social media posts since, including one with his girlfriend where he spoke about their "new chapter". He wrote alongside the snap of them in front of their house. He also shared a second picture of a volcano photoshopped into the back, writing: "On to a new chapter.. (the photo was taken on a grey, miserable day so I edited the sky.. I wanted to use the second slide but Kitty wouldn't let me)." Conor has now taken to social media to reveal he is releasing new music. Alongside a promotional video for his track Runaway Man, he shared: "I know I've been kinda quiet this past year.. I guess it's time to start telling my side of the story." Like this story? Secrets and lies - Prince Harry and wife Meghan in 'fresh crisis'
As Prince Harry and his wife Meghan battle challenges on various fronts, a royal expert maintains the gulf is widening between the life they crave and the path they're following... The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are in the midst of another crisis, as the pair desperately try to retain their royal statuses, an expert exclusively tells OK! The couple seem to be facing challenges on multiple fronts as the gulf widens between the life they crave and the path they're following, according to royal biographer Tom Bowe r. Harry, in particular, has been at the centre of intense drama recently, after blasting the boss of his former charity for telling 'blatant lies' and reportedly hinting at fresh royal secrets during his High Court legal battle over security protection. Former BBC journalist Tom also suggests their relationship with William and Kate can never be repaired, and believes Meghan's desire to be a 'billionaire celebrity' is at odds with Harry's own life. 'He's stuck out in California and clinging on to his royal status, as is she,' he said. 'Plus, Harry's thinking is of 'reconciliation', having dumped on the royal family with Spare, the Oprah Winfrey interview and their Netflix series. 'That's just totally unrealistic. There is zero chance of reconciliation because there is irreconcilable anger on the part of William and Kate.' Harry, 40, recently entered the final throes of his fight to appeal a Home Office decision over the security he, Meghan, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, are entitled to in the UK. After a two-day hearing held behind closed doors earlier this month, Harry told waiting journalists he was 'exhausted and overwhelmed', adding that 'people would be shocked by what's being held back'. He then claimed that his 'worst fears have been confirmed by the whole legal disclosure in this case, and that's really sad'. According to a report in a broadsheet, Harry suggested the decision to remove his taxpayer-funded protection was intended to trap him and prevent him from quitting as a working royal and moving out of the country. America's People magazine also ran a story last week claiming Harry 'believes his father could intervene' to ensure he gets adequate security, although it also alleged that a palace source had told them any suggestion that Charles had influence was 'wholly incorrect'. Tom, who published Revenge: Meghan, Harry And The War Between The Windsors in 2022, also dismissed any suggestion that King Charles would have any sway over security matters. 'Harry cannot – and doesn't want to – understand that his father cannot dictate. And the idea that anyone said to him, 'If you come back, then you'll be protected' is ridiculous.' In one of the final hearings at the Royal Courts of Justice, Harry's barrister Shaheed Fatima KC made it clear that the prince's fears about his family's safety in the UK hadn't changed, telling the court that he was a man 'whose safety, whose security and whose life is at stake'. Harry has spoken openly about not feeling comfortable bringing his family to Britain, and Tom says he and Meghan are not always on the same page when it comes to a possible relocation. 'There's no doubt that in some conversations Harry has said that he might come back,' he said. 'So the real problem is that he wants to come back but they have nowhere to live, because Frogmore Cottage was taken away from him after Spare was published. Also, Meghan doesn't want to come back, and there's no way he's going to split off from her and his children.' The court case came hot on the heels of Harry stepping down from the Sentebale charity he set up in honour of his late mother, Princess Diana, after a reported breakdown in relations with its chairperson, Dr Sophie Chandauka. The duke then released a statement after the Charity Commission announced an investigation into what had gone wrong, saying, 'What has transpired over the last week has been heartbreaking to witness, especially when such blatant lies hurt those who have invested decades in this shared goal.' Meanwhile, Meghan has been powering ahead with her new podcast Confessions Of A Female Founder, which is the latest project in a string of new ventures for the duchess. In the second episode, Meghan shared more personal insights as she explained how she was 'juggling it all' with two poorly kids at home. Archie, she said, was suffering from respiratory syncytial virus, while Lilibet had a form of flu. 'With that comes the woman who is juggling it all and doing it all from home, being confident enough to tell the truth about what's going on,' she told her guest Reshma Saujani, founder of non-profit Girls Who Code. 'My kids, for example, right now, one has RSV, the other has influenza A. Cough syrup all night and rubbing the back… We still find a way to show up for both.' As Harry faced off against the Home Office in court, Meghan was likely celebrating the success of another of her latest ventures, As Ever – which sold out of its debut eight signature products in under a day. Tom 'admires' Meghan for her drive to succeed, but says the world of celebrity is still relatively unknown to her royal husband. 'She is an indomitable fighter. Few celebrities have been as mocked as Meghan, and she just doesn't give up. I admire her for that, I think it's remarkable. 'But they have a crisis, because Meghan wants to be a billionaire celebrity and Harry doesn't understand that world. He doesn't understand what it entails, where she's coming from, which is that she worked phenomenally hard, struggled hard, and wants the security of finance and status.' The family reportedly took a holiday together after the court case, and are now back at home in Montecito, California –hopefully enjoying some calm, after the storm.

Dorinda Medley Has Plans for RHONY; But Will Bravo Listen
Season 15 of didn't perform as well as had hoped. This was the second season with the rebooted cast. The ladies didn't gel, and the season was punctuated with vicious fighting. So, if you were feeling nostalgic for the earlier seasons of RHONY, may have the solution. Bravo, are you listening? Dorinda was famously put 'on pause' and left RHONY. She was heartbroken. Now, it looks like the RHONY franchise, along with Real Housewives of New Jersey, are both in danger. When Bravo announced its renewals and new programming, both shows were missing from the list. After last season's ratings debacle, it was clear that RHONY was ready for some possible cast changes. The show was casting new faces, but there is no word on whether the Season 15 cast was booted. Enter Dorinda and her thoughts on RHONY. 'People miss New York and the nostalgia of the old Housewives,' Dorinda told OK! 'I don't want to say anything bad about the girls because they're just different,' she said of the new cast for Season 14 and 15. 'How can you follow with these girls that literally were each together incredible and individually characters?' Meanwhile, Dorinda feels strongly that combining the current cast with some former RHONY cast members would fix the ailing franchise. Dorinda doesn't 'personally understand' the 'absolute resistance' to combining the casts. I think that would be perfection. 'I don't think you have to get rid of all them, and you say, 'I made a mistake.'' Dorinda explained. 'But I do believe there's a world, if not to put us all back together, to be putting us together on some [level].' Plus, Dorinda hasn't ruled out a return to the franchise. Even if the original members were featured less than the new cast, it would be a welcome change. I'd love to see these two worlds collide! Real Housewives of New York is streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland. TELL US – SHOULD RHONY MIX CURRENT AND FORMER RHONY CAST MEMBERS? SHOULD DORINDA RETURN? Stockton native and NASA astronaut José M. Hernández honored with RTD bus wrap
( — The San Joaquin Regional Transit District and local leaders celebrated the unveiling of the agency's new José M. Hernández bus wrap—a tribute to the Stockton native and celebrated NASA astronaut. 'I am deeply honored and humbled by RTD's incredible tribute,' Hernández said in a press release. 'To see my image and message wrapped on an RTD bus that travels the very streets where my journey began is both emotional and inspiring.' Stockton farmworker turned astronaut inspires Amazon Prime movie Hernández added, 'This community helped shape who I am, and I'm grateful to RTD for celebrating that connection. I hope this bus serves as a moving reminder to our youth that with education, hard work, and perseverance, any dream is within reach.' The bus wrap features Hernández in his trademark NASA uniform alongside the quote 'It's OK to Dream Big,' displayed in both English and Spanish. The bus wrap is part of a joint venture between RTD and the Hernandez's Reaching for the Stars Foundation, a nonprofit organization with a mission to inspire youth to find passion in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education, establish a family commitment to education, and develop a support network through community engagement. The bus wrap will be displayed for at least two years, according to the county. It was unveiled on Saturday at Cal State Stanislaus, Stockton Campus. 'Mr. Hernández is such a beloved part of the Stockton community—we thought it was only fitting to honor him with a bus wrap,' said RTD Chief Executive Officer Alex Clifford. 'His inspiring story is a reminder to us all about the power of perseverance and persistence. We look forward to sharing his powerful words on our buses for years to come.' One of four children in a migrant farming family from Mexico, Hernández didn't learn English until he was 12 years old. Despite that, he graduated from the University of the Pacific in Stockton with a degree in electrical engineering before enrolling as a graduate student at the University of California in Santa Barbara, where he continued his engineering studies. He joined the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in 1987 and officially became part of the NASA Space Program in 2001. In 2009, he took part in the STS-128 space shuttle mission to the International Space Station. The story of Hernández's rise from his humble beginnings in a migrant workers family to a NASA astronaut was depicted in the 2023 biographical film 'A Million Miles Away,' starring Michael Pena.
