House fire under investigation in Jones

JONES(KFOR)- OKCFD responded to a house fire at 11720 E Memorial Rd Sunday morning. Authorities arrived to the scene to heavy flames coming from the roof of a two-story home. Crews on scene confirmed there were no occupants in the home at the time of the fire. Firefighters took a defensive stance as the roof had partial collapses within the next half hour. Two dogs were rescued in the fire. The conditions of the dogs are currently unknown. OKCFD ruled the house to be a total loss. The expected cost of damages will be determined at a later time. OKCFD officials say, the TTRS Highline System is a highly technical rope rescue method used when traditional access isn't possible. The method is a system allowing crews to remove individuals using tensioned rope lines for: large gaps ravines collapsed structures OKC National Memorial & Museum 30th anniversary ceremony moved indoors Firefighters also got an opportunity to practice controlled rappelling techniques keeping them ready for any complex rescue scenarios. OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Fire crews responded to a fire at a reptile store in northwest Oklahoma City Friday morning. According to the Oklahoma City Fire Department, crews responded to the store near NW 122nd St. and MacArthur Blvd. around 1 a.m. LOCAL NEWS: Suspect sought by police after spray-painting 'Nazi' on Tulsa woman's Tesla Officials say firefighters were already aware of the reptiles inside and worked quickly to get the flames under control. 'Through prior knowledge of the building, we knew that this warehouse housed several snakes, tortoises and lizards,' said Major Bo Woodard with OKCFD. Fire crews knock down commercial fire in NW Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Oklahoma City Fire Department responded to a commercial fire Thursday afternoon after first receiving reports of it being a car fire. According to officials, fire crews responded to the fire near NW 23rd Street and May Avenue just after 1 p.m., and heavy smoke was seen coming from a converted gas station. The building housed a body shop located in the back, and a convenience store in the front. OKCFD says the fire was caused by unattended cooking. All occupants were evacuated before fire crews arrived and no injuries were reported. The building sustained heavy smoke damage.
