Elmehdi El Jamari Knocks Out Thai Star Thongpoon in Bangkok

Casablanca – Elmehdi El Jamari opened his ONE Championship account with a spectacular first-round knockout victory against Thai star Thongpoon PK Saenchai at ONE Fight Night 30: Kryklia vs Knowles. El Jamari dominated Thongpoon in a strawweight Muay Thai contest inside Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium right from the start, launching leg kicks and punches that forced his Thai counterpart to retreat towards the ropes. Kryklia makes short work of Knowles at ONE Fight Night 30, waiting for ‘good opponents'

Already the holder of ONE Championship heavyweight kickboxing and Muay Thai world titles, Roman Kryklia rode a 14-fight winning streak into Bangkok, and added another victim to his list, flattening Britain's Lyndon Knowles in the first round of their clash at ONE Fight Night 30 on Saturday. Advertisement The Ukrainian's fifth consecutive knockout in the Muay Thai title bout came after an opening knockdown with a clean left hook. While Knowles beat the count, Kryklia sealed the deal with a clean right cross that left the Englishman flat on the canvas. It was another savage finish, and came with a US$50,000 performance bonus. Despite the frightening display of power, the double champ insisted he was only a threat inside the ring. Outside, he remains humble and composed. 'I want to say that I'm very dangerous only in the ring … but here outside, everything's good!' Kryklia told the Post. Advertisement 'Me and my friend, former ONE featherweight kickboxing champion Chingiz Allazov, we prepared many combinations, many difficult sides to analyse my opponent … but in reality, it was much easier. I threw my right arm – and everything else.'
