Carson Young leads Myrtle Beach Classic as Seamus Power bounces back with birdie streak

Carson Young fired the best round of the day, a seven-under 64, to move into the lead ahead of the final round of the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic on Saturday in South Carolina. Seamus Power bounced back from his disappointing second round 76 to post a two-under 69 and move back in the right direction on the leaderboard. However, it was another mixed round for the Waterford man who posted four bogeys and two birdies during his opening 14 holes. Remarkably, Power then finished with a flourish to post four consecutive birdies to take some confidence into Sunday's final round. Young, who began the day at six under, played bogey-free golf for the second straight round, and he highlighted his rainy day with an eagle on the par-five 15th hole to get to 13-under at Dunes Golf and Beach Club. Young is looking for his first tour win. "I got my whole family down here, my little girl and my mom and brother and my wife's parents and her brother," Young said. "It's been cool to have family out here and a bunch of support with friends. "I hear a bunch of "go Tigers"out there and guys that I haven't seen in years. ... It kind of just feels like old times," added Young, who golfed collegiately at Clemson and the 30-year-old described it as "awesome" to be playing close to home. Harry Higgs followed up a 66 on Friday with a 68 and moved into second place by himself at 12-under. He survived two early bogeys and had five birdies for the day. Second-round co-leaders Mackenzie Hughes of Canada and Chile's Cristobal Del Solar had diverging outcomes. Hughes shot a 70 -- two bogeys and three birdies - to sit alone in third place at 11 under, while Del Solar opened with a birdie, but it was the first of just two for the day. He had three bogeys on the front nine, two more on the back nine plus a double-bogey, and finished with a five-over 76.

Kevin Costner, 70, fans call him a 'beautiful man' as they lust over his golf photos

Kevin Costner hit the golf course in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Wednesday - and fans were left gushing over photos that the actor shared to his Instagram page. The Yellowstone alum, 70 - who was seen partying with a young brunette at a nightclub over the past weekend - tested out his skills ahead of the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classis 2025 which kicks off on Thursday. In the latest snaps, the Hollywood actor sported a pair of light tan trousers as well as a gray polo shirt. Costner completed his ensemble for the special outing by slipping into a pair of white, Nike sneakers. The star was pictured flashing a cheerful smile as he prepared to tee off with a driver club in his hand. Kevin - whose divorce from Christine Baumgartner was finalized last year - also held a conversation with one of the staff members and made a grand arrival to the Dunes Golf and Beach Club via a helicopter. Social media users jumped to the comment section of Costner's post as they called him both 'beautiful' and 'handsome.' One penned, 'What a beautiful man!' while another typed out, 'congratulations Kevin, you look great.' 'He looks amazing,' a fan also shared in the comments, and one added, 'God he's hot.' Another wrote, 'Looking good!!! Love you Kevin!' while one penned, 'Kevin Costner is so sexy!' Celebrities had the chance to take part in a game with pro-golfers for the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic Pro-Am tournament. Other stars that were spotted taking part in the event including Bill Murray and Vanna White, per ABC 15 News. After he landed, The Bodyguard actor took time to open up about his first impressions of Myrtle Beach. 'Well, I came out here on a jet helicopter, I guess they thought I'd be late,' he told ABC 15. 'So when I got on, they put me on a helicopter, and put headphones on me, and I landed somewhere on somebody's yard. Social media users jumped to the comment section of Costner's post as they called him both 'beautiful' and 'handsome' One penned, 'What a beautiful man!' while another typed out, 'congratulations Kevin, you look great 'He looks amazing,' a fan also shared in the comments, and one added, 'God he's hot' 'So what do you think of the impression of Myrtle Beach is? It's like hitting the beach in a war, the only thing is everybody is very friendly.' Costner has been keeping busy and over the past weekend, he was spotted enjoying a night out at a club called Raspoutine in West Hollywood on Saturday. He could be seen talking to a mysterious young brunette as they were surrounded by a large crowd underneath the hue of red lights. However, the star later left the venue with the club's owner Alexander Ghislain rather than the woman who he was spotted with inside. Last month in April, Kevin was also spotted with a different mystery woman as the pair grabbed lunch. But a source soon informed Page Six that she was simply his assistant who has been working for the Hollywood actor for two years. Costner has stepped back into the dating scene after his split from Christine Baumgartner - whom he was married to from 2004 until their divorce was finalized in 2024. The former couple share three children and Baumgartner is notably receiving $63,209 a month in child support from the actor. Kevin has since been linked to a number of celebrities, such as singer Jewel and also Jennifer Lopez. But earlier this year in January, an insider told People that Costner is not looking for a serious relationship. The source stated that he 'is in a good place' and is 'having fun with his family and friends. 'He is not seriously involved with anyone and not necessarily looking for anything more than that right now.' The insider also shared, 'Kevin is cool, real and in some ways old-school in his thinking. He has a lot of interests and loves being busy when he is in that mode.' After the end of his marriage to Christine, a separate source told that Costner has been 'leaning on' his first wife Cindy Silva. The pair were married from 1978 through 1994 - and also share three children. Cindy was awarded $80 million in their divorce settlement. 'Kevin and Cindy have stayed close friends and she has been guiding him in recent months over his heartbreak from Christine as she is a wise woman.' The insider added, 'He really appreciates that their sad split has led to such a beautiful friendship. She is an ally and offers great advice. He leans on her quite often.' The two still 'get together for the kids birthdays and are able to spend quality time together. It's all very amicable and friendly.'
