Daily Mail08-05-2025

Kevin Costner hit the golf course in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Wednesday - and fans were left gushing over photos that the actor shared to his Instagram page.
The Yellowstone alum, 70 - who was seen partying with a young brunette at a nightclub over the past weekend - tested out his skills ahead of the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classis 2025 which kicks off on Thursday.
In the latest snaps, the Hollywood actor sported a pair of light tan trousers as well as a gray polo shirt.
Costner completed his ensemble for the special outing by slipping into a pair of white, Nike sneakers.
The star was pictured flashing a cheerful smile as he prepared to tee off with a driver club in his hand.
Kevin - whose divorce from Christine Baumgartner was finalized last year - also held a conversation with one of the staff members and made a grand arrival to the Dunes Golf and Beach Club via a helicopter.
Social media users jumped to the comment section of Costner's post as they called him both 'beautiful' and 'handsome.'
One penned, 'What a beautiful man!' while another typed out, 'congratulations Kevin, you look great.'
'He looks amazing,' a fan also shared in the comments, and one added, 'God he's hot.'
Another wrote, 'Looking good!!! Love you Kevin!' while one penned, 'Kevin Costner is so sexy!'
Celebrities had the chance to take part in a game with pro-golfers for the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic Pro-Am tournament.
Other stars that were spotted taking part in the event including Bill Murray and Vanna White, per ABC 15 News.
After he landed, The Bodyguard actor took time to open up about his first impressions of Myrtle Beach.
'Well, I came out here on a jet helicopter, I guess they thought I'd be late,' he told ABC 15. 'So when I got on, they put me on a helicopter, and put headphones on me, and I landed somewhere on somebody's yard.

'So what do you think of the impression of Myrtle Beach is? It's like hitting the beach in a war, the only thing is everybody is very friendly.'
Costner has been keeping busy and over the past weekend, he was spotted enjoying a night out at a club called Raspoutine in West Hollywood on Saturday.
He could be seen talking to a mysterious young brunette as they were surrounded by a large crowd underneath the hue of red lights.
However, the star later left the venue with the club's owner Alexander Ghislain rather than the woman who he was spotted with inside.
Last month in April, Kevin was also spotted with a different mystery woman as the pair grabbed lunch.
But a source soon informed Page Six that she was simply his assistant who has been working for the Hollywood actor for two years.
Costner has stepped back into the dating scene after his split from Christine Baumgartner - whom he was married to from 2004 until their divorce was finalized in 2024.
The former couple share three children and Baumgartner is notably receiving $63,209 a month in child support from the actor.
Kevin has since been linked to a number of celebrities, such as singer Jewel and also Jennifer Lopez.
But earlier this year in January, an insider told People that Costner is not looking for a serious relationship.
The source stated that he 'is in a good place' and is 'having fun with his family and friends.
'He is not seriously involved with anyone and not necessarily looking for anything more than that right now.'
The insider also shared, 'Kevin is cool, real and in some ways old-school in his thinking. He has a lot of interests and loves being busy when he is in that mode.'
After the end of his marriage to Christine, a separate source told DailyMail.com that Costner has been 'leaning on' his first wife Cindy Silva.
The pair were married from 1978 through 1994 - and also share three children. Cindy was awarded $80 million in their divorce settlement.
'Kevin and Cindy have stayed close friends and she has been guiding him in recent months over his heartbreak from Christine as she is a wise woman.'
The insider added, 'He really appreciates that their sad split has led to such a beautiful friendship. She is an ally and offers great advice. He leans on her quite often.'
The two still 'get together for the kids birthdays and are able to spend quality time together. It's all very amicable and friendly.'

Justin Bieber confesses he is 'tired of transactional relationships' amid growing concern

Justin Bieber shared another worrisome post to Instagram on Sunday amid growing concern online from fans over his health. On Saturday morning, the Baby singer, 31, shared two photos to Instagram, including an extreme closeup of his face. 'Tired of transactional relationships,' his captioned the images. 'If I have to do something to be loved, that's not love.' The father-of-one's post seemingly reflects a feeling of emotional exhaustion and disillusionment with relationships based on what he can offer, rather than who he truly is. In response, many of his 294 million followers took to the comment section to express alarm over the statement. 'This post sounds like it's coming from a 20 year old, not from someone who is in their 30s with a wife and kid,' one fan wrote. That same commenter added: 'Love is transactional, that's the point, that's real love. Love is not supposed to be unconditional, unless it's your child. Another described Bieber as 'the britney spears of our generation.' 'You can't love someone who doesn't give you anything to love them for.' The new post comes after Justin shared startling new selfies before referencing a hallucinogenic drug on Saturday. In the caption, Bieber penned to his followers: 'IM ACCEPTING THAT GOD FORGIVES ME THIS MORNING. 'SO CAN I CAN FORGIVE MYSELF AND OTHERS TODAY. JOIN ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE,' Justin concluded followed by a thumbs up emoji. Justin also jumped to his Instagram stories to share more selfies alongside lengthy cryptic messages to his followers - and referenced to the hallucinogenic drug ketamine. He included a screenshot as he asked AI: 'Has ketamine been used to control people's emotions.' The response that popped up claimed that, 'There is clear evidence that ketamine has been misused in certain law enforcement scenarios, particularly in ways that amount to chemical restraint or social control. Another fan aptly said, 'This post sounds like it's coming from a 20 year old, not from someone who is in their 30s with a wife and kid' 'With disproportionate effects on Black individuals. This is a serious public health, legal and racial justice issue.' Justin also wrote over an image of himself which read, 'This is how I feel after people keep telling me theres more work to do after the ive given everything I have to give,' he wrote over one image of himself. Bieber continued, 'I dont think any of us can handle hearing "You just gotta try a little harder and you will be like me." It's not true. I listened to those fools who told me to work harder. 'And there's no end to trying to earn ur spot in this life because I tried. U have everything u need right now.' The pop star also took to Instagram on June 3 with a bizarre post to share his thoughts about telling other people what they do or do not 'deserve.' 'Telling other humans they deserve something is like raising someone else's kids,' he wrote in his latest post. 'Who are you to tell someone what someone should or shouldn't have?' He balked at 'the audacity' and slammed his fans' unsolicited opinions: 'That's not your place. God decides what we deserve.' In response to his post, fans flooded his comments section with messages voicing concern, calling out his 'hypocrisy' and urging him to 'take a social media break.' Many fans seemed to believe he was responding to recent fan comments telling his wife Hailey that she 'deserves better' after his 'disrespectful' posts towards her. This comes after fans criticized his 'Mother's Day sucks a**' post on his wife's first Mother's Day since they welcomed their first child, son Jack Blues Bieber, in August 2024. They also pointed out that he recently admitted he previously told Hailey that she would 'never' land a Vogue cover in a since-deleted caption meant to congratulate his wife on that same, recent accomplishment. He shared the post to his Instagram Story accompanied by Lil Tecca's song OWA OWA, in which he raps about pleasuring his partner and 'making it clear to his significant other that his time and presence should not be taken for granted,' per Genius. One fan commented on the Peaches singer's post and wrote: 'Justin. You told Hailey she couldn't be on a cover of Vogue, isn't that telling her she can't have something?' 'Didn't you just tell this girl she couldn't be on Vogue,' another fan wrote. Similar comments flooded his post. One person asked him: 'Brother didn't you tell your wife she could never be on the cover of Vogue???' Another person added, 'Take a break from social media, Justin.' 'I think you should leave God out of this and grow up,' one Instagram user penned. 'God told me you need a social media break,' another fan commented. Justin's recent posts come amid concern about not only his marriage but his mental wellbeing regarding his increasingly bizarre behavior. After Hailey's Rhode beauty brand was acquired in a $1 billion deal last week, many fans started telling her to divorce Justin now that she has found fame and fortune on her own. Though many of the posts were apparent jokes, the couple have been entangled in rumors of marital woes while Justin has been on the receiving end of substantial backlash. The pair have been married nearly seven years after they tied the knot in 2018. Last year, they welcomed their first child together, son Jack Blues Bieber, who will turn one in August.

Trump uses LA protests to redirect dissent from policy failures to the ‘enemy within'

Donald Trump walked out to a thunderous standing ovation as Kid Rock's 'American Bad Ass' boomed from the sound system. He watched martial artists slug it out behind a chain-link fence. A female champion let the US president try on her gold belt. It was a night of machismo, spectacle and violence. Shortly before he joined an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event in Newark, New Jersey, on Saturday night, Trump had signed an order deploying 2,000 national guard troops to Los Angeles, where protests sparked by sweeping immigration raids led to clashes between authorities and demonstrators. The White House said Trump was sending in the guardsmen to 'address the lawlessness that has been allowed to fester' in California. Governor Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, said the move was 'purposefully inflammatory and will only escalate tensions'. Experts said it was the first time in 60 years that a president has activated a state's national guard – a reserve military – without a request from its governor. Critics also saw it as an authoritarian flex by a strongman president who has relentlessly trampled norms and burst through guardrails. Since returning to office in January, Trump has sought to crush dissent at cultural institutions, law firms, media companies and universities. Many believed it was only a matter of time before he took the fight to the streets. The protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) raids present him with an antagonist that can be used as a focal point for anger, hatred and fear, ensuring that dissent is redirected away from the government and toward 'an enemy within'. Trump is the master of distraction and, with the help of lurid rightwing media clips, wants to divert attention from policy failures and his ugly feud with Elon Musk. Chris Murphy, a Democratic senator, tweeted: 'Important to remember that Trump isn't trying to heal or keep the peace. He is looking to inflame and divide. His movement doesn't believe in democracy or protest – and if they get a chance to end the rule of law they will take it. None of this is on the level.' As with much else in his scorched earth second term, Trump advertised this in advance. Last October he told Fox News: 'I always say, we have two enemies. We have the outside enemy, and then we have the enemy from within, and the enemy from within, in my opinion, is more dangerous than China, Russia and all these countries.' He added: 'We have some very bad people. We have some sick people. Radical left lunatics I think it should be very easily handled by, if necessary, by National Guard, or if really necessary, by the military, because they can't let that happen.' There are echoes of 2020 when Trump used national guard troops in Washington to quell Black Lives Matter protests that arose after George Floyd was killed by Minneapolis police officers. The troops fired teargas to clear peaceful protesters from Lafayette Square near the White House to allow Trump to stage a photo-op at a church. The former defense secretary Mark Esper later revealed that Trump asked about the protesters: 'Can't you just shoot them? Just shoot them in the legs or something?' Trump and his rightwing allies have been busy rewriting the history of 2020 as a flashpoint when rioters brought carnage to US cities. Yet their narrative omits Trump's conspicuous failure to active the national guard in response to his supporters' attempt to overturn his election defeat by laying siege to the US Capitol on January 6 2021. Cory Booker, a Democratic senator for New Jersey, told NBC's Meet the Press programme on Sunday: 'We are now at a point where we have a president who sat back and did nothing as people stormed our Capitol, viciously beat police, and then when those people – who viciously beat police and led to some of their deaths, therefore cop killers – were convicted by juries, he then pardoned them all. 'So for him to be talking to anybody right now about responsible law enforcement to protect people is hypocritical at best.' Now California – a Democrat-dominated state regularly invoked by Trump and his allies as a hive of 'wokeness' and immigration lawlessness – is the ideal target for Trump to whip up the fervor and resentments of his base. The government is deploying the national guard 'not because there is a shortage of law enforcement, but because they want a spectacle,' Newsom wrote on social media. 'Don't give them one.' In a sign of how much has changed from his first term, there are no Mark Espers to push back this time. Instead the current defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, threatened to involve regular military forces, writing that active duty Marines at Camp Pendleton were on high alert and would also be mobilized 'if violence continues'. And Stephen Miller, a White House deputy chief of staff and architect of Trump's draconian immigration crackdown, posted messages such as 'We will take back America' and 'Insurrection' – the latter raising the spectre of Trump invoking the Insurrection Act, one of the most powerful emergency powers at the disposal of a president. The 18th-century wartime law would allow Trump to deploy the military on US soil against civilian protests, evoking parallels with autocratic regimes around the world that declare martial law. Again, the president has teed up a preview: on Saturday tanks will roll on the streets of Washington for a parade to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the US army. It also happens to be Trump's birthday.

LaGuardia High School of Music & Arts and Performing Arts - and also played multiple sports as a teenager, such as baseball and basketball. Hector additionally studied dance at the Ballet Arts Company at the venue Carnegie Hall before also taking on roles in plays, including Steambath. Aside from the stage, Elizondo appeared on the screen by taking on minor parts in projects throughout the 60s to the mid-70s. He then landed the role of Abraham Rodriguez in the sitcom titled Popi for a total of 11 episodes. Hector later made appearances in other television shows such as The Rockford Files and The Dain Curse. Throughout the early 80s, Elizondo also starred in other films such as Young Doctors In Love and The Flamingo Kid. Hector began has career in the 1960s and is also known for his close friendship with late director Garry Marshall - who passed away in 2016 For 14 episodes, he portrayed D.A. Jesse Steinberg in the show Foley Square from 1985-1986. He gained more recognition when he played hotel manager Barney Thompson in Pretty Woman (1990) - which was directed by Garry Marshall. The film also starred Julia Roberts, Richard Gere and Jason Alexander. Based on his performance, Elizondo notably garnered a Golden Globe nomination the following year. The romantic comedy was also a box office success, and raked in $463.4 million on a budget of $14 million. During the 90s, Hector continued to take on parts in both TV and movie projects - such as Beverly Hills Cop III (1994). That same year, he began to take on a big role in the medical drama series Chicago Hope as Dr. Phillip Waters. He played the character for a total of 141 episodes - and his performance also earned him an Emmy win for Best Supporting Actor in 1997. Other projects he has taken on roles in include Monk, Grey's Anatomy and Last Man Standing - where he played El Alzate from 2011-2021. His last acting credit was in 2023 when he reprised his role as Monk's psychiatrist Dr. Neven Bell in the TV movie Mr. Monk's Last Case: A Monk Movie. Elizondo is also known for appearing in 18 movies directed by Garry Marshall aside from Pretty Woman and The Princess Diaries franchise, such as Runaway Bride (1999), Raising Helen (2004), Valentine's Day (2010) and New Year's Eve (2011). During a past interview with the Television Academy Foundation, Hector opened up about their 'beautiful friendship.' At one point, the actor had recalled, 'When I asked him about my character in Pretty Woman, hotel manager Barnard Thompson, he said something brilliant. 'He said, "Play the guy that you'd like to work for," and he walked away. That was it. That's how he directs. If you need coaxing, he's there to coax you. He gives you a certain kind of confidence. It makes the day easy.' The star also gushed about how crews 'loved' Marshall and explained, 'If it's your birthday you're going to get a birthday cake. And he loves parades. So during a movie, there's a parade. 'Every department has to compete against the others - there are judges and they give out ribbons. You wear funny hats. That's Garry Marshall. Someone once said, "Garry doesn't make a movie; Garry throws a movie."' And while talking to Variety in 2016, Elizondo further discussed having the chance to work with the late filmmaker. 'Movie stars loved working with him. He made them comfortable. They felt safe. The first act of love is listening. He loved actors.' He also talked about his time starring on The Princess Diaries and said, 'Garry loved Annie Hathaway's smarts and work ethic. If he started at 7, she was there 5 minutes early, ready to roll. 'Julie Andrews made Anne sit next to her and look at the monitor as they rewound the scenes. She was mentoring her on the set.' He continued, 'That's what terrific people do; they pass the baton. Garry liked people who would be part of the solution, not part of the problem.' In regards to what he is most proud of with his career thus far, Hector previously told the Television Academy Foundation: 'I didn't change my name...' Elizondo later explained, 'Also, I was theater-trained. I did repertory theater, I studied. No one ever gave me anything for free. 'You have to put in the time, the sweat. Nowhere is it written that you're going to be successful. And I've reminded kids to redefine success.' The actor added, 'Just put one foot in front of the other. Remind yourself that it's a lot of hard work and be prepared when you're called.'
