How to watch, stream Team USA softball vs Netherlands in 2025 World Games
The U.S. Women's National Team will continue its 2025 World Games run in Chengdu, China. The world-ranked No. 2 Team USA will face No. 5 Netherlands at 9 p.m. CT Wednesday. This is the second of three group play games for the United States, which secured a 4-0 win over No. 4 Chinese Taipei on Tuesday. Team USA is in Group A with No. 4 Chinese Taipei, No. 5 Netherlands and No. 12 China. Group B consists of No. 1 Japan, No. 3 Puerto Rico, No. 6 Canada and No. 10 Australia. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals on Saturday, and the gold medal game is on Sunday. OU softball head coach Patty Gasso is the head coach of Team USA. OU's JT Gasso and Jennifer Rocha are also on the staff as assistant coaches. The roster features OU alums Jayda Coleman, Kinzie Hansen, Tiare Jennings and Kelly Maxwell, in addition to OSU alum Lexi Kilfoyl. Abigale Dayton saves OU softball with two-out HR off NiJaree Canady, Texas Tech in WCWS
Abigale. Dayton. OU softball's nine-hole hitter, who hit two home runs all season, crushed a two-out home run on an 0-2 count tying Texas Tech 2-2 in the top of the seventh inning. The Sooners were one strike away from having their season end with a loss for the first time since 2019. Advertisement Dayton transferred to OU from Utah this past offseason. She's hitting .325 this season. The Red Raiders are up to bat in the bottom of the seventh.
