Oasis fan ‘left bruised after Liam's maracas wrestled away from her'
Oasis had just finished another epic gig, concluding the set with Champagne Supernova as fireworks lit up the sky. Leaving the stage on Sunday, Liam Gallagher, the band's lead singer, threw his tambourine to one side of the Wembley crowd and a pair of tied maracas to the other. The latter landed straight in the hands of Chantal Arpino, a 42-year-old mortgage adviser from Buckinghamshire. But before she could pocket her memento, she claims two men ripped the maracas from her, pulling back her fingers, drawing blood and leaving her with cuts and bruises. Arpino, who paid more than £1,000 for two tickets for her and her partner, said: 'I caught them in the air. I've got my hands on both of them but they are strapped at the handle and my hands were twisted holding on to them.

Oasis fans in meltdown as they spot unlikely Hollywood heartthrob and his famous partner in the crowds after shunning VIP tickets at Wembley gig
A Hollywood heartthrob and his famous partner sent fans into meltdown as they blended into the crowd at an Oasis gig in Wembley. While most A-lists snap up VIP seats in the London venue, Robert Pattinson and his partner Suki Waterhouse preferred to soak up the atmosphere in the crowds. The actor, 39, and singer, 33, joined the likes of Sienna Miller and Anya Taylor-Joy shunning VIP to rock in the stands instead. The Twilight star tried to keep a low-key appearance in a baseball cap and sunglasses as he mixed with gig-goers. Meanwhile, Suki put on a very vibrant display in a bright green jacket as she sang her heart out to Noel and Liam Gallagher 's hits. The video circulating on TikTok was captioned: 'Went to see oasis and ended up seeing the LOML.' Fans in the comments praised the couple for shunning A-list areas and getting 'normal tickets'. Some wrote: 'Whaaaaat this is amazing', 'That's so great that they had normal tickets and weren't in VIP', 'OMG', 'I'm sorry what'. Robert and Suki's outing comes amid rumours they got 'married' while holidaying in the Caribbean' earlier this year. The pair reportedly tied the knot during an intimate ceremony with their closest loved ones, including their 10-month-old daughter. Although it is still unverified if the longtime couple, who first began dating in July 2018 after meeting at a star-studded house party, walked down the aisle, a tipster told Deuxmoi, an Instagram account that publishes celebrity gossip, they did. 'Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse got married at NYE at the Caribbean resort I work at!!!' the source, who claimed to be a waitress, told the outlet. 'They were so cute and sweet, their baby was there in a gorgeous little bridesmaids dress.' The insider added that 'their family was there as well' and it was 'such a cute wedding.' They also claimed both the bride and groom were 'so nice' to everyone. has reached out to their representatives. In December 2023, a source confirmed to People that the pair were engaged and 'both want to be married.' 'It's important for them,' a source told the outlet, at the time. In July, Suki spoke about her and Robert's romance to British Vogue as she recalled how her past failed relationships led her 'to a love that is really pure.' 'I think Rob's quite funny, I light up when I'm around him,' she explained, before noting that living in L.A. 'definitely became a lot more fun' after they met. As for if the indie pop star was surprised to find out she was expecting? Suki said, 'No, we really planned it. One day we looked at each other and said, "Well, this is as ready as we're going to be."' She teased, 'I was like, "What can make more chaos?"' The model also reflected on performing at Coachella last year six weeks after giving birth, telling the outlet, 'Every mum's morality is in question so much, not just from yourself, but from society. Everyone's projecting something onto you. That's an insane thing.' She added, 'Like, honestly, of course [I was thinking]: "Holy s**t, how is this going to work, is this even going to be possible?" You just have to go, "This is what we're doing, this is what we're about and f**k what anyone else thinks."'

Fences erected at Oasis' Manchester gig site as ticketless fans urged not to go
Steel fences have been erected at the site of Oasis' Manchester gigs and fans without a ticket have been warned not to attend the upcoming shows. More than 70,000 concertgoers were inside the Heaton Park venue on Friday night for the Britpop band's hotly anticipated first gig in Manchester for nearly 16 years. Advertisement They also played there on Saturday and will perform again on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Manchester City Council previously warned those without a ticket not to attend but people gathered to glimpse the large screens above the stage in the distance. Steel fences have now been erected around parts of the park to prevent ticketless fans watching the performances and to protect nature in the park, including pregnant cows. The council said: 'After taking stock of how the first two nights went, additional measures have now been deemed necessary and will be in place for the next three concerts. Advertisement 'The erection of the fencing has a dual purpose – both to protect the environment from further damage and to dissuade people from gathering there. 'The necessary measure means the concert will no longer be visible from this area.' Heaton Park has no facilities for people without a ticket and the event area is 'double-walled with solid high security fencing all the way round', the council said. Liam Gallagher during the reunion tour (Jordan Pettitt/PA) There will be 'in excess of 2,000 event security staff and police officers on duty around the site to ensure both the safety and wellbeing of ticket-holders and that only those who have tickets access the concert', it added. Advertisement The fences will cover a large area of the hill within the park's cattle field, which is being developed as a new woodland area with around 300 young trees planted. The measures also aim to protect pregnant and nursing cows and a bull in the field. John Hacking, the council's executive member for employment, skills and leisure, said in his statement: 'The steps being taken ahead of the next concert regretfully mean the distant view of the large screens behind the event stage will no longer be there. 'Unfortunately our hand has been forced in having to put these additional measures in place to protect the very recent extensive planting of young trees in that location as we try to establish a new woodland area in the park, and the wellbeing of our cattle herd in the field, as well as to keep people in the park safe. Advertisement 'Our advice to music fans who don't have tickets for the concerts is to head into the city centre instead. Noel Gallagher at the Principality Stadium, Cardiff (Jordan Pettitt/PA) 'The whole city is going all out to celebrate and help everyone have a good time. 'We've got some fantastic things going on with a real party atmosphere for everyone to enjoy, whether they've got tickets for the Oasis gigs or not.' The five sold-out Manchester shows follow the band's first comeback gigs in Cardiff last week. Advertisement Oasis will then visit London's Wembley Stadium, Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium and Dublin's Croke Park throughout July, August and September. Their reunion announcement came after Noel Gallagher quit the band, saying he 'simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer', after a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris in 2009. The brothers announced the Oasis Live '25 tour last August. While many fans were thrilled, some were outraged after some standard tickets in Ireland and the UK jumped from €150 to over €400. The controversy prompted the British government and the UK's competition watchdog to pledge to look at the use of dynamic pricing.
