Oasis reunion tour's eye-watering spend per fan and hefty sum economy will gain

Oasis's highly anticipated reunion tour is set to deliver a major economic boost to the UK, with fans expected to spend over £940 million across London, Manchester, Cardiff, and Edinburgh Following Taylor Swift's record-breaking stadium tour last summer, Oasis are set to make a major economic splash with their highly anticipated reunion tour. The Oasis Live '25 tour, which will take place across 17 shows in London, Manchester, Cardiff, and Edinburgh between July and September, is expected to draw nearly 1.4 million fans. These fans are projected to spend an average of £682.80 each on everything from tickets and travel to food, drink, shopping, and accommodation - generating an estimated total spend of £940.3 million across the entire tour. ‌ This figure closely rivals the £997 million spent by fans during Taylor Swift 's 2024 UK Eras Tour. However, the net economic impact of Oasis's tour - estimated at £274.4 million across the four host cities - is expected to significantly exceed the £122 million reported for Swift's 15 UK shows, thanks to a higher proportion of spending staying within local economies. ‌ According to new research from Novuna Personal Finance, local businesses stand to gain substantially, with 57.9% of all fan expenditure - approximately £544.9 million - expected to remain in host cities, injecting much-needed revenue into regional high streets, hospitality sectors, and tourism. Spending Breakdown Fans' spending is forecast as follows: ‌ Food and drink: £219 million total, averaging £159 per person Tickets: £217 million total, averaging £157.50 per fan (lower than Swift's average ticket spend of £206) Shopping and attractions: £188 million total, benefiting local cultural hotspots and retailers Travel: £166 million total, covering public transport, fuel, and taxis Each concert is projected to generate over £55 million in attendee spending, with London shows expected to lead, averaging £60.9 million per event. The capital's seven Wembley dates will attract 630,000 fans and contribute £426.3 million in total spending, driving a net economic impact of £109.3 million for London. Manchester's Heaton Park shows will generate £277 million from five dates, accounting for 35% of the total tour expenditure and delivering £95.7 million directly to the city's economy. Cardiff and Edinburgh will see net economic impacts of £26.8 million and £42.6 million respectively. ‌ While day-trippers will make up the largest share of spending (£376 million), overnight visitors are the biggest spenders individually—shelling out an average of £806.50 each, nearly 20% more than the overall average. Many are extending their stays beyond the concerts, averaging 2.19 nights in host cities, with Manchester and Edinburgh visitors staying longer (2.48 and 3.20 nights respectively). Local residents attending shows spend less on average (£590.30) but still provide vital support to neighborhood businesses and public transport. ‌ Theresa Lindsay, Chief Marketing Officer at Novuna Personal Finance, told The Mirror: 'The Oasis reunion is more than a once-in-a-generation music event – it's a serious economic opportunity. With nearly 60% of spending staying in local communities, this tour is set to deliver a powerful and lasting boost to high streets, hospitality, and tourism across the UK.' 'While fans may spend slightly less per head than Swifties, Oasis's impact could be greater - because so much of that spend supports regional economies, not just the entertainment industry. It's a home-grown success story with national economic reach.'

Oasis tour sparks fan frenzy with strict new entry rules and safety measures

Oasis fans are gearing up for one of the most eagerly awaited reunions in music history, as the band prepares to hit the road for their first tour in over a decade Fans heading to Oasis ' highly anticipated reunion gigs at Manchester's Heaton Park this summer have been issued new guidance regarding crowd management and ticket access. The shows, part of a much-hyped tour kicking off in Cardiff on July 4 at the Principality Stadium, include four back-to-back sold-out dates at Heaton Park between July 11 and July 20. ‌ Supporting acts include Richard Ashcroft and Cast. While most other stops on the tour take place in traditional stadiums, Heaton Park's open-air, standing-only layout has prompted organisers to implement additional safety protocols. ‌ To manage the large crowds expected at the 80,000-capacity site, the Safety Advisory Group has advised that the venue will be divided into two designated zones: a general admission area and a front standing section closer to the stage. Ticketholders have now been invited to register their interest in accessing the front section. 'The Safety Advisory Group for the Heaton Park shows have divided the concert arena into two areas: a general admission area and a front standing area, each with a dedicated ticket and entry gate issued in advance,' reads an official message sent to attendees. Organisers explained that the move was introduced 'to ensure fan safety and improve the fan experience whilst entering the site.' Ticketholders can apply for front standing access via a link in the email. 'If the number of opt-in requests exceeds availability, tickets will be allocated at random from the pool of applicants,' the email added. The deadline to apply is 12:00pm on May 30, with final placement confirmations arriving by June 20. 'Please note that opting in applies to your whole order (you can't split up tickets). If you're happy to stay in the general admission area, you don't need to do anything,' the message clarified. ‌ Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher recently spoke on TalkSPORT about the band's preparations: 'I'm in the studio just noodling around. We're getting ready for rehearsals to start now in about three weeks, and then, yeah, we'll see what happens.' The highly anticipated reunion tour, Oasis Live '25, is set to commence on July 4, 2025, at Cardiff's Principality Stadium and conclude on November 23, 2025, at São Paulo's Estádio Morumbi in Brazil. ‌ The UK and Ireland leg includes multiple dates in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin. Notably, Manchester's Heaton Park will host five performances between July 11 and July 20, while London's Wembley Stadium will feature six shows from July 25 to August 3. Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium and Dublin's Croke Park will each host three concerts in August. Following the European dates, the band will perform in North America, including Toronto, Chicago, New Jersey, Los Angeles, and Mexico City. The tour will then extend to Asia and Oceania, with stops in South Korea, Japan, and Australia, before concluding in South America with performances in Argentina, Chile, and Brazil.

Oasis release more tickets for September - but it's bad news for some fans

Liam and Noel Gallagher's Oasis is gearing up for its epic reunion tour - Oasis Live '25, this summer - but some fans still haven't got tickets for the gigs Oasis has released more tickets for September after unprecedented demand for their reunion tour - but some fans are still waiting to get their hands on one. Last year, Liam and Noel Gallagher sent their legion of loyal followers into a frenzy when they announced they were reunited after a 16 year hiatus, with their eagerly-awaited tour kicking off in Cardiff in July. Due to huge demand, Ticketmaster has released more tickets for the gigs, posting on X today: "Hi. A limited number of "production release" tickets have been made available for the Oasis Live '25 UK September dates in London. Those eligible have been emailed with details." However, some fans say they've not been able to access the newly allocated tickets, as one posted on X, formerly Twitter: "Absolutely gutted that the @oasis gods are not on my side! Missed out first time round! Got an email yesterday with option to get tickets but was on a plane when the queue opened. Gave my mum email and Ticketmaster login only to be met by security due to suspicious activity. FML." ‌ ‌ Speaking to the Mirror, another frustrated fan said: "I grew up on Oasis' music and always thought I'd never see the band play live, despite seeing Liam several occasions. "It's infuriating to see these extra tickets being released to just a handful of people, rather than going out to the main ballot list. "The fact some tickets are being resold on sites for thousands of pounds is just stomach-churning. People are profiting thousands while genuine fans like myself are missing out on the opportunity of a lifetime." Also left empty handed was another fan, who asked: "Has anyone been able to get an ticket for September? I can't access link." However, another suggested it was case of 'try again if you don't succeed', as they replied: "Try again. I just got two at Wembley for 28th September." Others were also successful in their quest as one excitable fan posted: "See you guys in September!" Meanwhile, another exclaimed: "I've got mine! See you in September!" Oasis fans went into meltdown on Monday ahead of the long-awaited reunion tour as rumours of a surprise ticket release spread like wildfire. ‌ Back in August, the Gallagher brothers confirmed that they would be dampening the flames of their high-profile feud and would embark on a nationwide tour after a 16-year hiatus. At the time, Ticketmaster crashed due to the millions of fans scrambling to get their hands on the concert tickets. While some were lucky, millions were left without a chance to see the Don't Look Back In Anger stars perform live again after almost twenty years. However, hope returned this week as X user posted a screenshot of an email, asking: "Anyone get this email from Oasis today?". The email read: "A limited amount of production release tickets have been made available for Oasis' Live '25 UK dates in Cardiff, London, and Edinburgh. ‌ "You have been selected to receive a code for a limited ticket release taking place on May 20th at 8am BST." Responding to the post, another Oasis said that they were finally able to buy tickets after being sent the all-important code. Oasis' reunion tour starts on July 4 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Sixteen gigs in the UK, as well as several abroad, follow, reaching the epic global finale on November 23 in São Paulo, Brazil.
