New Relic named Observaility Leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant for 13th year

New Relic has been identified as a Leader in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Observability Platforms for the 13th consecutive year. The Gartner Magic Quadrant assesses observability vendors on criteria including product capabilities, market understanding, innovation, and overall strategy. According to the report, New Relic maintained its position in the Leaders quadrant, a place it has held since 2012, attributed to its vision and ability to execute. Commenting on the recognition, New Relic CEO Ashan Willy said, "New Relic's consistent recognition as a Leader across all 13 iterations of the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Observability Platforms since 2012 speaks volumes for us. In our view, this report validates our vision for AI and agentic orchestration, echoing what we hear from customers - when their most critical projects demand performance and reliability, they trust New Relic. Our continued investment in innovating our intelligent observability platform has been thoughtfully designed to anticipate and meet the needs of modern enterprises." AI integrations Over the past year, New Relic has introduced more than 25 new features to its platform. The company has prioritised integrations with partner technologies, including ServiceNow, GitHub Copilot, and Amazon Q Business. Its latest partnership involves integrating with a new coding agent within GitHub Copilot, designed to speed up the identification and resolution of software issues by providing proactive monitoring and repair. Luke Hoban, Vice President Engineering, Developer AI at Microsoft, recently commented on this collaboration: "I see partners like New Relic as being a core part of how we're going to enable these coding agents, and other agents on the platform, to really realise the full potential they have." New Relic's AI Monitoring function is embedded into its observability platform, offering extended insight into the performance of enterprise-grade generative AI applications that utilise large language models such as DeepSeek. The company's AI Monitoring has seen 30% growth in quarterly usage since its introduction, according to New Relic. Support for the Model Context Protocol has also been added, providing developers with more detailed diagnostic information for AI applications. Platform enhancements Customer needs and industry trends have driven the release of more than 25 new platform features over the last year. These updates aim to improve business and IT operation management and support specific verticals, including retail, healthcare, and media. Among the enhancements is what New Relic describes as the first intelligent streaming video observability solution for the industry. The company also stresses its endorsement of open standards and customer choice, with full native support for OpenTelemetry (OTel) allowing integration of telemetry data from any source into the New Relic platform. Its platform operates under a usage-based pricing model to better align costs with the value provided. New features have introduced further intelligence, exemplified by a Predictions engine which forecasts system problems to help maintain uptime and system performance. The platform also offers Cloud Cost Intelligence, providing granular views into multi-cloud spending trends. Customer sentiment According to company data, as of early July 2025 New Relic had received an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 1,392 verified customers on the Gartner Peer Insights platform, with 90% indicating a willingness to recommend the platform. DevOps Engineer, Banking Another customer, identified as a Group Product Manager in IT Services, said, "Great monitoring tool - would never look anywhere overall experience, love logging in everyday to see what our application is doing or has been doing, checking API logs, checking systems and containers and making sure we find out about problems before our is super easy to integrate with, super easy to navigate and manage. Datadog Named a Leader in the 2025 Gartner(R) Magic Quadrant(TM) for Observability Platforms

Positioned based on its Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision New York, New York--(Newsfile Corp. - July 10, 2025) - Datadog, Inc. (NASDAQ: DDOG), the monitoring and security platform for cloud applications, today announced it has been named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Observability Platforms, 2025. This is the fifth consecutive year Gartner has positioned Datadog as a Leader in the Magic Quadrant. The Gartner Magic Quadrant for Observability Platforms is a culmination of the Gartner research of the application performance monitoring (APM) and observability market. A Magic Quadrant provides a graphical competitive positioning of four types of technology providers, in markets where growth is high and provider differentiation is distinct: Leaders execute well against their current vision and are well positioned for tomorrow; Visionaries understand where the market is going or have a vision for changing market rules, but do not yet execute well; Niche Players focus successfully on a small segment, or are unfocused and do not out-innovate or outperform others; Challengers execute well today or may dominate a large segment, but do not demonstrate an understanding of market direction. Customer feedback is vital to Datadog's product innovation. Below are two recent reviews of Datadog from the company's profile on Gartner Peer Insights ™: "Datadog provides incredible insights into complex tooling. They continue to innovate and add new features regularly throughout the year, and their CSM [customer success management] team is very responsive and helpful," said a Senior Director of Engineering at a software company. "The user interface is very clean and easy to use, even with a tremendous amount of data and features. The APM and USM [universal service monitoring] features have been invaluable additions to our observability and helping us remediate issues quickly. The Watchdog feature has also been terrific for proactive alerting of things that didn't have specific monitors set up." "The insights that we're able to get by building custom metrics within Datadog have been invaluable. We've managed to catch behaviors within our application that we otherwise wouldn't have caught, and it's helped us create a more reliable experience for our customers," said an SRE Engineer at a healthcare and biotech company. "It is significant for us to see Gartner name Datadog a Leader in its Magic Quadrant for Observability Platforms for a fifth straight year," said Yanbing Li, Chief Product Officer at Datadog. "Product innovation and R&D continue to be key focus areas for us as both Datadog and our customers embrace AI to build and improve applications, workflows and cloud environments. We look forward to working with our user base to further our product strategy and leadership in the market." Gigamon appoints Simon Oliver to channel sales lead for APAC

Gigamon has promoted Simon Oliver to Director of Channel Sales, Asia Pacific, as it aims to address increased demand for deep observability across the region. Simon Oliver, who is based in Melbourne, will now be responsible for overseeing channel strategy and execution across the broader Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This new role comes after his term leading the channel business in Australia and New Zealand, during which he focused on partner engagement, enablement, and aligning channel operations with Gigamon's evolving go-to-market priorities. John Giacomini, Chief Revenue Officer at Gigamon, said: "Simon is a proven leader and a powerful advocate for our partner ecosystem, and this new role reflects our continued commitment to Gigamon customers and partners in the fast-growing Asia-Pacific region. As we continue to expand our footprint across the region, Simon's experience and strategic vision will be vital in driving deeper collaboration and unlocking new growth opportunities for Gigamon and our channel." The appointment comes as organisations in Australia and across APAC face a surge in cyberattacks, increasing regulatory scrutiny, and greater complexity in managing hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure. These trends have placed cybersecurity at the forefront of business priorities within the region. The need for deep observability has been emphasised by recent findings. According to the 2024 Hybrid Cloud Security Survey, 83 percent of Australian IT and security leaders consider deep observability to be a foundational element of cloud security. However, organisations continue to deal with limited visibility across their hybrid cloud environments, challenges with encrypted traffic, and difficulties ensuring security tools are efficient at scale. Gigamon's Deep Observability Pipeline aims to address these issues by delivering network-derived telemetry to cloud, security, and observability tools. This approach is designed to reduce risk, optimise network traffic, and improve the efficiency of security tools by up to 90 percent. The company's channel partners across APAC are collaborating on solutions to enhance the security and management of hybrid cloud infrastructure for customers. Simon Oliver said, "In this environment, strong channel partnerships are essential to helping customers build resilience and stay ahead of evolving threats." He added, "Our partners need to supply customers with the right solutions to allow them to be proactive, rather than reactive, and that is exactly what Gigamon brings to the channel. I'm excited to work closely with our partners across the region to bring the power of deep observability to more organisations and strengthen cybersecurity outcomes." Gigamon continues to focus on its channel-first strategy in the APAC region, investing in partner ecosystem growth through regional awards, enablement programmes, and co-selling initiatives. These activities are intended to support the growth of both channel partners and customers.
