Ocean City wants your help: How to envision a thriving, sustainable future for the town
The Ocean City Department of Tourism's year-long celebration — held in honor of the resort town's 150th anniversary — is well underway, and the town invites you to become an integral part of the special commemoration. The town's Department of Tourism and Business Development is asking community members, business leaders and employees to take part in a transformative workshop to shape the future of Ocean City. Here's what we know. OCEANS CALLING FESTIVAL LINEUP: Green Day, Fall Out Boy and many more bound for Oceans Calling 2025 in OCMD: The lineup. The special event, 'Charting the Course: Co-Creating a Shared Vision for Ocean City's Tomorrow,' will take place on March 14, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Ocean City Convention Center, located at 4001 Coastal Highway. The interactive workshop will be led by Rachel Druckenmiller, an expert in leadership and workplace culture, who will guide attendees in envisioning a thriving, engaging and sustainable future for Ocean City. 'Ocean City isn't just where we live, work, and play — it's a special place that's truly 'somewhere to smile about,'' Tom Perlozzo, Director of Tourism and Business Development for Ocean City Tourism, said. 'Every voice matters in shaping our town's future, and this event is a unique opportunity for our community to come together and collaborate on what's next.' SHOP LOCAL ON VALENTINE'S DAY: Surprise your sweetie and shop local at three Eastern Shore florists this Valentine's Day Participants will explore Ocean City's current successes, imagine possibilities for the town's future, and identify actionable steps to enhance Ocean City's workplace culture and visitor experience. The session will harness the energy, creativity and strengths of attendees to inspire a unified vision for the town's growth and success, the town said in a news release. Whether you're a business owner, an employee, a community leader or someone who simply loves Ocean City, this workshop is a chance to contribute to a shared vision that reflects the heart and soul of the town, the release stated. Together, attendees will 'ride the waves of possibility' and help ensure that Ocean City's future remains bright and welcoming for all. Registration for this event is free. The star-studded roster, which was announced Wednesday, is loaded from top to bottom with big music names such as headliners Green Day, Noah Kahan and Fall Out Boy. The acclaimed three-day music festival, which will also feature an appearance from "American Pie" star Jason Biggs, will return to Ocean City, Maryland, this fall from Sept. 26-28. Oceans Calling will round out its third-ever summer season along the coast as it hits the Eastern Shore. Here's everything you need to know about the official lineup, when tickets are set to go on sale and more. Summerfest 2025 lineup revealed: Lumineers, Megan Thee Stallion to headline Oceans Calling 2025 lineup revealed Green Day and Lenny Kravitz will headline the first night on Sept. 26, along with big names such as The Black Crowes, Nelly, O.A.R., Cake, Live, The Fray, Fountains of Wayne, The 502S, Spin Doctors, Letters to Cleo, Ballyhoo!, Bel and Izzy Escobar following suit. Then, Sept. 27 will feature headliners Noah Kahan, Vampire Weekend and Good Charlotte, as well as Modest Mouse, Jack's Mannequin, Collective Soul, En Vogue, Franz Ferdinand, Natasha Bedingfield, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Mat Kearney, Wheatus, Bumpin Uglies and Rachel Ana Dobken. To top it all off, Sept. 28 will be filled with epic performances from headliners Fall Out Boy and Weezer, plus Train, Devo, Vance Joy, Ziggy Marley, 4 Non Blondes, Michelle Branch, Blind Melon, Burning Spear, Marcy Playground and a special set by O.A.R. and Friends. Acclaimed chefs Robert Irvine, Michael Voltaggio, Bryan Voltaggio and Anne Burrell are also set to take the stage throughout the three-day music festival alongside host Jason Biggs. Coachella 2025 lineup: Lady Gaga, Travis Scott, Post Malone will headline How to get tickets for Oceans Calling 2025 Ticket presale begins Friday at 10 a.m. A general on-sale will follow at 11 a.m. if tickets remain. Festivalgoers may sign up for a presale passcode on the official Oceans Calling Festival website. Ticket prices include all fees, before taxes and shipping. Taxes will be added as applicable by city and state.
