Waiting for his next NFL team to call, free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. seems open to that team being the New York Giants. As Beckham was one of many pro athletes to flock to Fanatics Fest this weekend, the veteran wide receiver was ordered by an audience member to join the Giants. An amused Beckham gave the fan what he wanted. "I got you," said the 32-year-old wideout. A fan tells Odell he should sign with the Giants at Fanatics Fest. 'I got you,' Odell Beckham Jr. 👀 (via @AryePulliNFL) — SleeperGiants (@SleeperGiants) June 21, 2025 Life in the NFL hasn't treated Beckham too well lately. Although his 2021 run with the Los Angeles Rams allowed him to earn his first Super Bowl ring, it came at a tough cost. After scoring in the Super Bowl, Beckham left the game during the first half with a knee injury. The team feared he tore his ACL. Beckham's worst fear was confirmed. Since Beckham's eight-game run with the Rams, he took a season off for recovery and joined the Baltimore Ravens for the 2023 NFL season. In 14 games with the Ravens, Beckham caught 35 passes for 565 yards. He ended up scoring three touchdowns during the regular season. He failed to find the end zone in both games. Last year, Beckham looked forward to another fresh start as he joined the Miami Dolphins for the year. He started the season off on the PUP list, dealing with an injury. By October, Beckham finally made his Dolphins debut. He appeared in just nine games. After catching nine passes for 55 yards, Beckham and the Dolphins agreed to part ways. The veteran wide receiver was waived in mid-December. He hasn't been picked up since. Beckham is a long way from the player he was when he joined the Giants as their 12th overall pick in 2014 out of LSU. At the time, Beckham burst onto the scene with a 1,305-yard campaign as a rookie, scoring 12 touchdowns. He dominated secondaries throughout his first three seasons, averaging over 1,300 yards per season and totaling 35 touchdowns. During the 2017 season, Beckham played in just four games as he dealt with an ankle injury. Although he managed to cross the 1,000-yard threshold for the fourth time as a member of the Giants in 2018, New York traded Beckham to the Cleveland Browns during the 2019 offseason. Since leaving, Beckham eventually made it clear that he was still quite fond of his time with the NY Giants. It doesn't come as a surprise that he didn't shoot down the idea of going back to them recently. For more New York Giants and NFL news, head over to Newsweek Sports.

Malik Nabers Is Already Elite
Malik Nabers Is Already Elite originally appeared on Athlon Sports. New York Giants receiver Malik Nabers entered the league with ludicrous expectations. With a natural comparison to Odell Beckham Jr., an argument to be the best receiver in a historic pass-catching class, and the burden of elevating a broken offense, the spotlight was instantly on the No. 6 pick. Advertisement Then he outperformed virtually every projection. In his first month as a pro, he logged two 100-yard games. He missed two games with a concussion before returning to his massive role in the passing game. By season's end, Nabers received the second most targets in the sport (170), behind only Cincinnati Bengals dynamo Ja'Marr Chase, who won the receiving triple crown. Subsequently, Nabers is a consensus top-10 receiver, presumably tasked with repeating his 2024 performance before being viewed as the same caliber of receiver as Chase and fellow LSU icon Justin Jefferson. However, there's a real argument that Nabers is already one of the five best receivers in the sport, and the Giants star is poised to improve in 2025. Advertisement The biggest piece of that puzzle is, of course, an upgrade under center. Veteran Russell Wilson isn't going to take home any hardware at the NFL Honors in February, but the jump from bad to average can be almost as significant as the leap from average to great. Wilson has an effective deep ball and does his best work while distributing to the perimeter. Both of those marks mesh well with Nabers' usage, and the quarterback's early praise is a good sign for their budding connection. Moreover, Nabers had historic usage for a rookie receiver. He was viewed as an elite receiver by head coach Brian Daboll, and each of New York's passers seemed to agree. Better quarterbacking might lend itself to others receiving more targets. But Nabers is set to see far more efficient targets in his second season, allowing him to improve upon his 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns. Nabers doesn't have to see as many targets as last season to produce as much as he did in Year 1. Yet, Daboll's willingness to funnel targets to him is emblematic of Nabers' talent and the trust he's earned. Advertisement There's no reason why that's going away any time soon. And as the Giants offense improves and there are more opportunities to score, there will be plentiful reasons to view Nabers for what he is—one of the best players in the sport.
