AJ Odudu confirms engagement to mystery man as she packs on PDA
AJ Odudu has confirmed that she is engaged, hard launching her mystery man with a carousel of PDA-heavy snaps. The Big Brother host, 37, took to Instagram on Monday to share the exciting news, as she flashed a whopping diamond ring on her finger. Captioning the loved-up post, AJ confirmed the engagement with a ring emoji and a love heart, writing: 'Hiya love.' Odudo, whose full name is Onatejiro Odudu, posted a black-and-white series of photos with her fiancé, revealing his face – although not his name – for the first time on her social media. The TV presenters' followers and celeb friends alike were quick to take to the comments to share their congratulations. Loose Women's Judi Love wrote in the comments: 'Babessssss this is absolutely beautiful congratulations sweeties xxx,' as Celebrity Big Brother's David Potts added: 'IMAGINE THE DRESS!!!!!!' 'Wonderful news!!' commented Ben Shephard as Olly Murs replied: 'Awww buzzing for ya AJ!! Huge congratulations. Love these pics.' Yet the announcement also came as a surprise to fans, as Odudu had not publicly confirmed she was in a relationship prior to sharing the happy news. 'Hardest of hard launches,' wrote @ in the comments to describe the post. @heyami added: 'OH MY GOD!! He's hit the jackpot with you baby!! Huge congratulations darling.' The last romance rumours swirling around the Blackburn lass were in 2021, when she was paired up with Kai Widdrington during her stint on Strictly Come Dancing. Speculation was rife that the dance partners had struck up a connection after a source claimed Odudu was 'falling' for professional dancer Widdrington. More Trending Fuel was only added to the rumours when Kai was caught on his microphone telling AJ: 'I love you,' during a live show. Yet she went on to clear up the rumours in an exclusive interview with the Metro, saying: 'I think this goes to show how we are clearly getting on really well.' 'But, obviously, we just really want everyone to focus on what we're doing on the dance floor.' Patsy Palmer in awkward Celebrity Big Brother triple eviction
Patsy Palmer refused to answer questions about Mickey Rourke after being evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house. The EastEnders star was the last of three housemates to be interviewed in a triple eviction from the ITV reality series on Tuesday, 22 April and host Will Best told her she had a "very different energy" to some of the other housemates. Palmer was evicted along with TV presenter Angellica Bell and The Only Way Is Essex star Ella Rae Wise, and was quizzed about the friction between her and some of the other housemates, including her clash with Hollywood star Rourke over her cooking. Five housemates faced eviction following face-to-face evictions. They were former CBBC presenter and Celebrity MasterChef winner Angellica Bell, former Love Island contestant Chris Hughes, Drag Race UK winner Danny Beard, former The Only Way Is Essex star Ella Rae Wise and EastEnders star Patsy Palmer were all nominated for the triple eviction. Bell was first to be evicted from the house, and told her housemates, "I knew it. I told you." When hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best revealed to her she was the first of three to leave the house that evening Bell looked delighted at the twist. Wise was the second evictee, followed by Palmer. Palmer said of being evicted so close to the final: "I am celebrating. To be part of history, I think this is the first time they've ever had a triple, so my lucky number is three." Quizzing her about some of the friction with the housemates Odudu asked Palmer: "Did it really upset you when Mickey did complain to your face about the food?" Palmer said after a long pause: "Not really that." There was another long pause and Odudu said: "Well, let's move on." Asked about US popstar JoJo Siwa's claims she brought the mood down, Palmer said: "Well, the person that said I was bringing the mood down, literally, I don't know, I must be a magician to bring that mood down. Because you have never known anyone so with so much energy, in beautiful energy, but energy in your whole life. So I was amazed that she thought I had that much power." Best then told her: "I mean it's interesting that you talk about energy, because I've never met you before, this is the first time we've properly spoken, and you do have a very calm energy, even now, you know. And I guess that is, like you say, very different to some of the other characters in the house." Palmer said: "Yeah, and that's what makes it brilliant, you know, and that's why we all, it's a great experiment, you know, mixing a lot of people together that are all very different, different ages, different backgrounds, different beliefs, different everything, it just shows that that's what we need right now, you know, in the world is that we can all live together despite our differences." This speech won cheers from the crowd. Odudu asked her: "You did say inside that you were struggling in there because you were missing your family, but was that the only reason?" Palmer said dismissively: "Yeah, that's it, that's it," before another awkward pause. Asked about her clash with Bell, Palmer said: "I think that we're very similar in many ways we've worked a long time in the industry. We both struggled a bit with the, we both were quite private people, really, even though we're on telly all the time. "I think we were both a little bit shell shocked, like 120 cameras, like every day or whatever, you know, it's kind of really daunting. I think that we - I thought she was snapping at me, she thought I was snapping at her. So it's just friends, isn't it?" Bell said she hoped to get on better with Palmer. In her exit interview she said: "She always treated me like a child, not in a bad way, but she wanted to look after me. I put on myself, but she actually wants to look after whereas I wanted to help as well. And so there was that instant where I said, 'Can I help?' And she was like, 'I don't care.' And that made me feel..." The 49-year-old TV presenter said after leaving: "I was surprised Big Brother even knew who I was. To get a place in Celebrity Big Brother was amazing. And the thing is, I'm very pragmatic and I get it, because I was like, Big Bro, I'm leaving. I knew it. There's some big names and there are big characters who've got huge platforms, who are talented, who are great. Everyone is wonderful. So I am just happy to be here. I did not think I would even last this long. So babes, in my eyes, I've won this show, let's go home." Asked where being on Big Brother came in her 25 year career Bell broke down in tears and struggled to speak, uttering: "Now I'm gonna get emotional." Ella Rae Wise was second to be evicted. She said she felt "really happy to be out in the open and back to reality." Referring to some of the tasks she said: "Look, listen, I'm an Essex girl. I don't really wanna be dressed up as a fluffy cat. I'm gonna be honest, and I don't really wanna be dollying about in a nappy." Wise admitted that there had been friction between her and Love Island contestant Chris Hughes and she had not been impressed by his relationship with JoJo Siwa. She said: "I don't think I was bothered. I think more so I can spot someone when they know what they're doing and that they know what they're gonna gain from someone. Just because Jojo is a young girl and being in the industry, like I know when you have latch on and people that want to get something and gain something from you. As time goes by, it's hard to say that it isn't genuine because at the end of the day I wasn't in both their pockets when they were getting to know each other exactly that, and in each other's beds every now and then apparently, but anyway. I just felt a little bit protected over Jojo because she's young and I just didn't want her to be used." One will be crowned the winner in the final on Friday, 25 April. Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd revealed that co-star William Roache has never called him by the right name. Shepherd, 37, has played David Platt in the ITV soap for 25 years, since he was 12-years-old. Roache, 92, has played Ken Barlow in the soap since it began in 1960. Shepherd revealed: "I've known him for 25 years, he still calls me f**king David. He sees me in corridor and I go, 'Morning, Bill', and he goes, 'David.' Well, he is 93." Mickey Rourke Looks Unrecognizable in Rare TV Appearance
Actor Mickey Rourke, known for roles in films like The Wrestler and Iron Man 2, made a rare appearance on television as he joined the cast of Celebrity Big Brother UK. The new season of the popular reality TV series premiered in the United Kingdom on April 7, with Rourke joining a cast that also includes , actress Donna Preston, and Olympic gold medalist Daley Thompson, among others. 🎬 🎬 In his introduction video for the show, Rourke described himself as "somewhat of an actor. Depends on who you talk to." The former boxer wore jeans, a black shirt and a black button-up. He added blue and gold cowboy boots and a black cowboy hat, along with a variety of necklaces and rings. Some said that he was "scary" and "strange," while others didn't recognize the 72-year-old actor at all. But he also got a lot of backlash for his actions in the first episode, as Rourke, while being introduced by hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu, took the latter's hand, spun her around, and then abruptly pulled her into his body, with Best commenting after, "Careful, Mickey." Rourke kept staring at Odudu, to the point that she asked him, "Stop looking at me!" and when he was directed to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house, he said to Odudu, "I wanna stay with you." Comedian Alan Carr asked Odudu about Rourke's behavior later, saying, via The Independent, "Can we talk about Mickey Rourke looking at you?...His tongue was hanging out." Odudu kept up a joking manner as she replied, "It literally was. I was like, 'You can't afford these feathers, Mickey, no!'' Fans have already started calling for his removal from the Celebrity Big Brother house, with comments on Instagram like, "The way he was with AJ I felt so uncomfortable I hope she's okay ♥️," and "ITV. Do the right thing and remove him yourselves." As of writing, Rourke is still a part of the Celebrity Big Brother UK show.

AJ Odudu addresses Mickey Rourke's inappropriate Celebrity Big Brother behaviour
AJ Odudu has addressed Mickey Rourke 's 'disgusting' behaviour on Celebrity Big Brother. The TV host has been supported after the Oscar-nominated star of The Wrestler, 72, 'grabbed' and 'ogled' her when he entered the house during Monday's launch episode (7 April). Viewers watched in fury as Rourke pulled Odudu close to him after giving her a twirl – and then proceeded to stare at her backside, prompting her to awkwardly tell him: 'Stop looking at me!' Odudu was praised for maintaining professionalism in the moment, with her co-host Will Best also commended for 'protecting' her in the moment. Rourke, who is known for his unpredictable behaviour, is facing criticism. Best managed to steer Rourke away from Odudu, telling him: 'Careful, Mickey.' When the pair wrapped up their interview, Rourke, who was supposed to enter the house, remained in place and, continuing to stare at Odudu, said: 'I wanna stay with you.' On aftershow Late & Live, Odudu reflected on the moment, which was brought up by comedian Alan Carr, who was on the show's panel. 'Can we talk about Mickey Rourke looking at you? Wow his eyes. Find someone who looks at you the way Mickey looks at you. His tongue was hanging out.' Odudu responded: 'It literally was. I was like, 'You can't afford these feathers, Mickey, no!'' The host was also praised for springing to action when Rourke refused to enter the house during the live episode. As the doors opened to let him into the London compound, he remained outside to shake hands with stray audience members. But with the clock ticking until the show's 10.30pm endtime, Odudu ran back onto the stage and directed him into the house. ITV in 2023.
