Mickey Rourke Looks Unrecognizable in Rare TV Appearance
Actor Mickey Rourke, known for roles in films like The Wrestler and Iron Man 2, made a rare appearance on television as he joined the cast of Celebrity Big Brother UK.
The new season of the popular reality TV series premiered in the United Kingdom on April 7, with Rourke joining a cast that also includes , actress Donna Preston, and Olympic gold medalist Daley Thompson, among others.
🎬 🎬
In his introduction video for the show, Rourke described himself as "somewhat of an actor. Depends on who you talk to." The former boxer wore jeans, a black shirt and a black button-up. He added blue and gold cowboy boots and a black cowboy hat, along with a variety of necklaces and rings.
Fans reacted to his entrance video on social media, sharing concerns for a few different reasons. Some said that he was "scary" and "strange," while others didn't recognize the 72-year-old actor at all.
But he also got a lot of backlash for his actions in the first episode, as Rourke, while being introduced by hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu, took the latter's hand, spun her around, and then abruptly pulled her into his body, with Best commenting after, "Careful, Mickey."
Rourke kept staring at Odudu, to the point that she asked him, "Stop looking at me!" and when he was directed to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house, he said to Odudu, "I wanna stay with you."
Comedian Alan Carr asked Odudu about Rourke's behavior later, saying, via The Independent, "Can we talk about Mickey Rourke looking at you?...His tongue was hanging out." Odudu kept up a joking manner as she replied, "It literally was. I was like, 'You can't afford these feathers, Mickey, no!''
Fans have already started calling for his removal from the Celebrity Big Brother house, with comments on Instagram like, "The way he was with AJ I felt so uncomfortable I hope she's okay ♥️," and "ITV. Do the right thing and remove him yourselves." As of writing, Rourke is still a part of the Celebrity Big Brother UK show.

Pro squash gets the studio treatment in Toronto ahead of Olympic debut at ‘28 Games
TORONTO - Much has changed on the pro squash scene since Lee Beachill was last in Toronto as a tour player nearly two decades ago. The broadcast product has improved exponentially. Replay challenges have helped match flow and cut down on player-referee interaction. And the biggie, of course, is squash can finally be called an Olympic sport. The SmartCentres PSA Tour Finals, which started Monday at the Revival Film Studios in the city's east end, are serving as a dress rehearsal of sorts for the Los Angeles Games in 2028. 'I just think the tie-in with the whole film side of it and the fact that we're going to be on the 'Back to the Future' lot in Universal (Studios) in three years time is just quite a nice tie-in,' said Beachill, now the Pro Squash Association's chief operating officer. The Toronto studio, which lists 'Good Will Hunting,' 'Cinderella Man' and 'Pixels' among the 200-plus films on its credit list, is hosting the five-day competition. With limited invites to the top eight men's and women's players in the world, the all-glass showcourt shines brightly in the heart of the 12,000-square foot Stage 3, complete with a backcourt grandstand with theatrical touches throughout. A set that mimicked the Harrow School — a facility near London, England where squash was born nearly two centuries ago — has been erected behind the court. Photos of the sport's greats adorn the walls inside the doors — Hashim Khan, Nicol David and Canada's Jonathon Power to name a few — along with an Olympic poster featuring the L.A. Games logo. 'I think we'll be the talk of LA28 in terms of the venue being so unique,' Beachill said. 'I think it'll be one of those tickets that people will want to get their hands on to come and watch. 'Not just necessarily because it's squash but just the experience of going to watch an Olympic sport at Universal Studios is probably a once-in-a-lifetime (opportunity).' Beachill, a former world No. 1, made several appearances as a player in Toronto when the city hosted the YMG Capital Classic (later called the Pace Canadian Squash Classic) at nearby Brookfield Place. When plans to hold the 2004-25 Tour Finals in Bellevue, Wash., fell apart, the Ontario capital moved to the forefront as a host city. Beachill said it helped that Toronto has always been a solid squash market. 'I want to continue to try and bring this level of event and this level of athlete back here year after year,' he said. 'So that's what we're going to be working on, hopefully we can have a few conversations this week and see where we go for next year and the years to come.' An image of Power's diving frame is imprinted on the top of the 'Power Court' that's being used for the US$635,000 tournament. Each eight-player field is split into two pools for group play with competition continuing through the finals on Friday. In afternoon play Monday, top-ranked Mostafa Asal of Egypt dumped England's Marwan ElShorbagy 11-1, 11-3 and Joel Makin of Wales defeated Egypt's Youssef Soliman 11-5, 11-8. In the women's draw, Japan's Satomi Watanabe outlasted Egypt's Fayrouz Aboelkheir 11-7, 9-11, 13-11 and American Olivia Weaver topped Malaysia's Sivasangari Subramaniam 11-9, 11-9. In evening matches, top-ranked Nouran Gohar of Egypt beat American Amanda Sobhy 11-6, 10-11, 11-6 and England's Georgina Kennedy defeated Belgium's Tinne Gilis 11-10, 6-11, 11-3. Toronto-based Diego Elias of Peru defeated Egypt's Karim Abdel Gawad 3-11, 11-6, 11-6 and New Zealand's Paul Coll posted a 11-10, 11-4 win over England's Mohamed ElShorbagy. Toronto has a rich history with pro squash. In addition to the YMG/Canadian Classic era, legendary rivals Jansher Khan and Jahangir Khan met in a memorable match at the 1990 Mennen Cup. The city has hosted several editions of the national championships. Squash was also played at Exhibition Place in west-end Toronto when the city hosted the 2015 Pan Am Games. The Canadian Women's Open was added to the tour in 2023 and rose to silver status last year. This report by The Canadian Press was first published June 23, 2025. Error! Gino D'Acampo puts £4.2million home up for sale after inappropriate behaviour allegations
Gino D'Acampo has reportedly put his £4.2million mansion up for sale. The MailOnline reports the Italian chef, 48, listed the Hertfordshire property last week, months after his alleged misconduct scandal. In February, D'Acampo was hit with dozens of accusations of sexually inappropriate and 'distressing' behaviour towards colleagues over the past 12 years, which he denies. Along with seven bedrooms, the Grade II listed terrace property also has six bathrooms, and the paper reports D'Acampo and his wife Jessica recently restored the Georgian house. The property also has a garden, complete with an outside kitchen and a Jacuzzi, along with a garden studio, which is currently used as a gym and cinema room. Typical of Georgian homes, the house also includes tall ceilings with roses and fireplaces in eight of the rooms. 'Gino's had a tough time lately so selling the family home will also add to the sadness,' a source told the paper. 'Himself and Jessica put so much work into turning the property into their dream home.' The Standard have contacted representatives of D'Acampo for comment. Last month, it was reported his last remaining restaurants were saved from closure in a £5 million deal. In February, D'Acampo was accused of 'horrendous' misconduct on various TV shows in an ITV News investigation. He reportedly made lewd sexual comments to a female colleague in one alleged incident in 2011 and allegedly kissed a famous footballer's wife on the lips at a charity event in 2012. He also allegedly made 'disgusting' sexual comments about whether he would sleep with his ITV co-star Holly Willoughby or her close friend, presenter Fearne Cotton. The Road Trip star has "firmly denied" the allegations and described them as "deeply upsetting". "I have never been made aware of these matters previously and the allegations are firmly denied,' he said in a statement. 'I would not do anything that I thought would upset or distress anyone. This is simply not in my nature. I do not recognise the version of events being put to me." The former This Morning star has been keeping a low profile since the scandal hit, however last month he made a return to the spotlight to promote the opening of his new restaurant in Malta. He made a series of lewd comments during a radio interview, where he said men don't like 'skinny' women because there's no 'meat' to hold onto, before boasting that Italian men can give 'maximum satisfaction'. When a female presenter named Nicole said she regularly goes on diets, he replied: 'Only dogs like bones.' He then appeared to mime grabbing a woman's body with his hands, saying: 'A real man, he wants the meat... Don't get too skinny, otherwise it's like, no.' The TV personality also told her, 'You're too pretty for radio,' according to The Sun.
