Currie Road now open after devastating fire in Dutton

(Brent Lale/CTV News London) Currie Road in Dutton has reopened as cleanup continues following a devastating fire. The road had been closed between Foodland and Mary Street since July 30, when emergency services were called to Cotrac Ford where the blaze caused extensive damage. According to police, the Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM) has completed its investigation at the scene. CTV News has reached out to the OFM for more details but as of publishing time, had not heard back.

Fatal house trailer fire on Six Nations
Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fatal fire on Six Nations of the Grand River. First responders were called to a house trailer, on River Range Road, around 1 p.m. on Wednesday. The trailer was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived. A 68-year-old woman, who lived in the trailer, was pronounced dead at the scene. A home next the trailer was also damaged in the blaze. 'The Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM) has been called in to begin an investigation into the cause, origin, and circumstance of the fire that occurred on Six Nations of the Grand River,' the OFM confirmed in an email to CTV News.

Police still trying to identify human remains found in Caledonia fire
Human remains found during a house fire in Caledonia almost a month ago still haven't been identified. Emergency services were originally called to Kinross Street on May 11 at around 3:32 a.m. When firefighters arrived, the home was already fully enveloped in flames. After crews put out the fire they found human remains inside. Investigators have not yet been able to determine who they belong to. The Haldimand County detachment of Ontario Provincial Police, the Office of the Fire Marshal, Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service continue to investigate. The fire is not considered suspicious and no foul play is suspected.
