Ohio man wins $500K on scratch-off ticket: Here's how much he really gets
AMELIA, Ohio (WJW) – A lucky man in southwest Ohio scratched off the top prize on an Ohio Lottery ticket, winning a half-million dollars.
According to the Ohio Lottery, the man recently purchased a $500,000 Cashword ticket at Ohio Pike Marathon in Amelia. After state and federal taxes, totaling 28 percent, he will take home $360,000.

The winner told the Ohio Lottery he plans to use the winnings to pay off debt and share it with friends and family.
