Two dead following shooting at Enid hospital
ENID, Okla. (KFOR) – Two people have died following a shooting at a hospital in Enid, police say.
According to Enid Police, officers responded to a hospital near W Owen K Garriott Rd. and Monroe St. at around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
Officials say a victim and the suspect have died. The victim was not an employee of the hospital.
Investigators believe this may have started as a domestic disturbance nearby.
According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, officers tried to make contact with the suspect after finding the suspect's vehicle in the hospital's parking lot.
'So when they found the vehicle and then located the suspect, that's then officers tried to engage the suspect and that's when the suspect fired at officers.' said Hunter McKee with OSBI.
No other injuries have been reported. No more information is available as the investigation continues.
