The yellow We Care Pedicabs are back in downtown SF
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) —Whether it's a school bus or a taxi, people are used to getting around in yellow vehicles. But now, a way to get around in a yellow pedicab is back in downtown Sioux Falls for the summer. If you're in downtown Sioux Falls on the weekends, there's a good chance you might see a bright yellow pedicab driving people around. RJ Oladejo is one of the new operators of the We Care Pedicabs. He rides for a few different reasons. 1 'critically' injured, no arrests in early morning shooting 'Getting these calves right and these calves right and the quads right. And just meeting different people all around Sioux Falls, people that visit, and just having a good conversation and enjoying the birds and the breeze and stuff like that,' Oladejo said. It's the second season that Terry Liggins and his nonprofit Hurdle Life Coach Foundation have been operating the pedicabs. 'It took a while to get the locals on board with what was happening. But plenty of the people that were at hotels and visiting our downtown, they would recognize the cabs and get on there as well. And so it was a lot of fun, super dynamic and well received,' Liggins, said. Out of the over 200 rides given last year, 40 of them were for free. This gave Liggins a new idea for this year: to try to implement a voucher program, where people or businesses could sponsor rides. 'Sometimes we're down here somewhere and we're seeing our adults who are transient, moving between the library and the banquet or the Bishop Dudley, and they're carrying a lot of weight,' Liggins said. While you may be the ones riding in the cab, it affects much more than just you. Proceeds from the We Care Pedicabs goes to benefit the Hurdle Life Coach Foundation and all the people they work with. 'Helping people out, you put in something that's got a good initiative for the youth and people around the community. So I embraced it,' Oladejo said. The operators are usually involved with the foundation or just believe in its message. 'Ideally, what we want to do with our operators is created as a workforce development opportunity for the adults. We're supporting transition. And that's not the only person who can volunteer, because we have people that are just like cycle enthusiasts, people who just want to look for another creative way to get some physical exercise and do some cardio,' Liggins said. Mega-city set to rival Dubai as African developers announce luxury plans
A developer is hoping to build a luxurious domestic alternative to the UAE spot in the huge West African city. An African city may one day rival Dubai as wealthy developers announce plans to transform the area. Lagos in Nigeria has seen rapid growth in recent years with business plans now aiming to attract high earners who are searching for for sleek, luxurious properties. Akintola Oladejo, CEO of Prestigious Homes Ltd, is planning to build developments and projects in commercially viable parts of the Nigerian city. According to African business publication How We Made it in Africa, the areas include Banana Island, Victoria Island as well as in the neighbouring city of Lekki. The Cape Town publication compared the three areas to some of Dubai's most luxurious locations, including Palm Jumeirah, Business Bay, and Dubai Marina. Businessman Oladejo told how well-known developers who have links with Dubai have been involved with their plans for Nigeria's new mega-city. Oladejo claimed he is keen to establish high-yield investments catering to Nigerians wanting to invest back in the country whilst also building a luxurious domestic alternative to Dubai. Speaking at the time, he said: "Diaspora investors are increasingly interested in buying homes in Lagos due to affordability and cultural significance." He claims his developments will also be an opportunity for people now living outside the country eager to invest in one of the continent's largest economies, reports the Express. The outlet pointed to completed developments like La Vida estate, a gated community with 40 units, Casa Branco a luxurious three-property building with a swimming pool, and Sutherland Court with its 13 units of 4-bedroom terraces as exemplifying his "commitment to excellence". Oladejo says he's also seeking to address issues around affordability and financing with zero-interest payment plans for off-plan properties, which he says is "similar to strategies employed by Dubai developers", in a move he hoped would make "luxury living accessible to more people". Lagos reached "megacity" status under UN guidelines in 1995, when the total city population boomed to more than 10 million. Today, the city is thought to be sixth most populated megacity on the planet. Oladejo's drive to emulate the rapid rise of Dubai's property market comes as Nigeria's cities are looking to quickly expand to accommodate the population growth, including major project like a vast coastal development under construction on Victoria Island. The urban influx seen in major cities like Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt has seen the demand for residential and commercial property soar, as per Nigeria Housing Market. However, despite the push to attract investment with valuable developments in some areas, Lagos itself has long struggled various issues including traffic congestion, housing shortages, and inadequate public services. Many of its residents live in informal settlements with limited access to clean water, electricity, and sanitation. High levels of traffic and public transport systems struggling to keep up with demand have also been an issue, though officials have been working on solutions to manage the city's rapid expansion, including Lagos Rail Mass Transit system to improve transportation, and new housing developments to accommodate the rising population. However, experts have warned that major investments in infrastructure and city planning are needed to avoid Lagos facing serious challenges as it grows.

Rookie minicamps are starting for various NFL teams. Preseason camp is a little more than two months away. Preseason football is three months away. It will be here before you know it. As Oladejo tries to crack the Tennessee starting lineup, his strengths and his challenges are clear, as Titans Wire notes: "Oladejo may be raw as an edge rusher but has the size and speed teams look for at the position and flashed both burst and power to turn the corner. He is also physical at the point of attack and should hold up well against the run. Although he is experienced as a linebacker, his coverage recognition skill needs work, especially in man coverage. Oladejo could also continue to add to his repertoire as a pass rusher to give him a full arsenal. The Titans drafted Oladejo in the 2025 NFL Draft as their second-round 52nd overall pick. Oluwafemi Oladejo formerly played for the California Golden Bears , where he accumulated 129 tackles. He also represented the UCLA Bruins , where Oladejo accumulated 57 tackles, 13.5 tackles for a loss, 4.5 sacks, and 6 quarterback hurries in 2024. In totality, he accumulated 238 total tackles, 20.5 tackles for loss, 6 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 3 fumble recoveries in both colleges. The 6-foot-3, 259-pounder carries the same enthusiastic energy into the Tennessee Titans. Grading each of the Titans' 2025 NFL draft picks The 2025 NFL draft is officially closed, and the Tennessee Titans made some exciting moves and picks throughout the draft. Starting with selecting Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the number one overall pick and ending the draft with nine total picks instead of eight made for a winning combination. New general manager Mike Borgonzi showcased his drafting skills over the three-day event, and the Titans appear to be a better team for it. It's time to dive into each pick the Titans made in this year's draft and assign each selection a grade. So, without further ado, let's start at the top. Round 1, No. 1: Cam Ward, QB, Miami Grade: A Ward was the obvious number one choice regardless of which team made the pick. The Titans ultimately decided not to trade it and to keep Ward for themselves, which instantly improves the quarterback room. Current starting quarterback Will Levis was previously made aware that he'd have to fight for his job this fall, and Ward is going to give Levis a run for his money. Ward has improved his game, as well as the players around him, at every stop he made on his journey to the NFL. He's a zero-star recruit who worked his way to where he is and still carries a chip on his shoulder. He's accurate, he can extend plays with his legs, and he can throw from multiple angles to complete passes. It wouldn't be a shock if he earned the starting job this fall. Round 2, No. 52: Oluwafemi Oladejo, EDGE, UCLA Grade: A The Titans desperately needed an edge rusher in this draft, especially after cutting Harold Landry III, and Oladejo is a perfect addition. Initially starting as a linebacker, Oladejo moved to the edge in 2024, so he's still very raw. Dennard Wilson will have an opportunity to continue to develop Oladejo into a true edge rusher who already has a solid foundation to build on. He possesses the speed, agility, and athleticism to be an elite defender in the NFL. Round 3, No. 82: Kevin Winston Jr., S, Penn State Grade: A This pick was tough to grade. Winston missed nearly all of 2024 with a knee injury, so while he posted a 61.2 PFF grade in 2024, two years ago his PFF grade was 89.3 because he missed zero tackles. He has a high football IQ and can read plays quickly to angle his run appropriately, and his size, speed, and agility allow him to cover tight ends. Winston is practically a steal here because of his upside and potential, and the only reason he dropped is because of his injury. Once he fully heals, he's going to be an All-Pro safety in the NFL. Round 4, No. 103: Chimere Dike, WR, Florida Grade: A Chimere Dike is a speed option who can stretch the field alongside Calvin Ridley. With the recent signing of Tyler Lockett, the Titans have solid veteran leadership in their wide receivers room and a ton of room for improvement. Dike posted a 4.34 40-yard dash at the NFL combine, but he also averaged over 18 yards per catch last year at Florida. He largely ran deep crossing routes in college, but he has the tools to develop as an effective route-runner who can make an impact at each level of the field. Round 4, No. 120: Gunnar Helm, TE, Texas Grade: A Borgonzi didn't just draft a quarterback to build around; he started the building process in this draft. Helm is a capable tight end who has solid hands and knows how to use his size and speed to his advantage. He broke Texas's single-season record for receptions by a tight end in 2024. He doesn't shy away from contact and can shed tacklers for extra yards after the catch. He will provide Cam Ward with an extra target on the field and also aid in blocking for the rookie. Round 4, No. 136: Elic Ayomanor, WR, Stanford Grade: B A standout at Stanford, Ayomanor is a strong athlete who can break tackles after the catch and help stretch the field when needed. He has solid vision to adjust routes and check back to the quarterback for alternate options. However, he struggles with drops, losing 15 receptions over the last two seasons due to dropping the ball, and that is concerning. But, hitting a locker room with the likes of Calvin Ridley and Tyler Lockett, who have both had good NFL careers, will help him learn how to avoid those drops in the future. Round 5, No. 167: Jackson Slater, G, Sacramento State Grade: A Mel Kiper believes Slater can develop into a solid center down the road. However, he started 42 games at left guard and two at left tackle for Sacramento State. He tied for the second-most reps on the bench at the NFL Combine, and knows how to use his size to his advantage. He can do whatever is asked of him, on any type of play. He has a solid foundation the Titans can build on, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him fight with Peter Skoronski for the starting spot at some point. Round 6, No. 183: Marcus Harris, CB, UCLA Grade: B The Titans needed to add depth to the secondary this year, especially with the status of L'Jarius Sneed in question due to his pending legal issues. Harris is a developmental pick, though, designed to sit behind other players this year to learn the NFL game before hitting the field in a game. Obviously, should the circumstances arise, he needs to be read to hit the field in 2025, but the Titans hope to have the time to develop him first. Last year, he caught two interceptions and forced eight incompletions, and his potential is visible on tape. Round 6, No. 188: Kalel Mullings, RB, Michigan Grade: A Last season, Tony Pollard carried the load for the Titans. Tyjae Spears showed up, too, until he was injured. Beyond those two, the Titans have Julius Chestnut and Jabari Small, who are used more on special teams than on offense. Mullings wasn't the starter at Michigan, but he led the team with 948 rushing yards in 2024, recording 12 touchdowns as well. Mullings also appeared as a return man on special teams plays for the Wolverines, and in 2022, he completed a pass for 15 yards. The Titans needed to add another running back to their roster who is capable of getting down the field in the event that Pollard and/or Spears are injured, and this was a solid addition.
