Andy Lee and Jack Post went head-to-head at the 2025 AFL Round 13 match - not on the field, but behind the mic. The duo, who are rivals when it comes to the footy, exchanged some friendly back and forth banter on Sunday at Melbourne Cricket Ground as they introduced the much-anticipated game. Aussie comedian Andy, 43, who supports the Carlton Blues, wore a blue v-neck sweater over a white tee and some jeans, paired with a Blues scarf repping his team, and a logo-emblazoned cap. Media personality Jack, 37, who cheers on Essendon Bombers, opted for an oversized red and black hoodie over a pair of jeans. 'We are actually doing the pre-game,' Andy said in a video posted to Instagram before the showdown. Andy was spotted jetting into Melbourne on Saturday after a stint in New York, where Hollywood heavyweight Hugh Jackman weighed in on Andy's new business venture: an Aussie pub in the Big Apple. Andy opened his Australian-themed pub Old Mates in Manhattan, back in February. And last Tuesday, the Wolverine star, 56, took to social media to gush over the establishment which is backed by an owner's group that includes Hamish Blake, surfing legend Mick Fanning, as well as Hugh himself. He also shared a gallery of snaps including one which shows the fan favourite flashing his famous grin and posing in front of the venue with his arm around Andy. Hugh also shared a photo taken inside the bar with Andy and Australian-born NYC restaurateur Eddy Buckingham, who is also an investor in Old Mates. A third post shared to Hugh's account showed a stained glass window feature of the bar which spelled out 'New York'. Located in Downtown Manhattan's Financial District, the pub is in a heritage-listed 1840s Greek Revival building that spans all three floors. With the staff dressed in iconic, hard-yakka-inspired blue collared shirts and rugby polos, the pub wouldn't look out of place in The Rocks or at the end of Collins Street. The investors also include Andy Stone (Bluestone Lane), Pat Cummins, Ash Barty, Mick Fanning and Patty Mills.

Andy Lee cut a casual figure on Saturday, when he was spotted with partner Rebecca Harding, jetting into Melbourne after a New York jaunt. The funnyman, 43, and Rebecca, 35, were in the Big Apple to pay a visit to Andy's Aussie-themed Manhattan pub, Old Mates. With Andy at the helm of the venture, it is backed by an owner's group that includes the likes of Hamish Blake, tennis star Ash Barty, surfing legend Mick Fanning, Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins and Hollywood A-lister Hugh Jackman. Andy was dressed for on the long haul flight, wearing a pair of loose-fitting navy blue tracksuit pants. He also wore a crisp, white long sleeve polo shirt, and a pair of well-worn white sneakers. Finishing his flight ensemble, the Hundred host wore a brown and white Cherry LA trucker cap. Wearing a black headband to keep her locks of her face, Rebecca was also spotted wheeling a silver suitcase and hand luggage. Andy, meanwhile appeared more interested in his phone, smiling as he scrolled and walked. He did not let jet lag get to him either, getting back on the tools at his ambitious Melbourne mansion renovation. He shared a photo to Instagram on Saturday afternoon that showed him happily posing with construction crew at the build site. While the workers, who appeared to have been rendering a cement wall looked suitably dirty, Andy, who offered a heart thumbs up, was conspicuously spotless. It's been noisy... It's frustrating because it's been going for a year and we've still got a couple more years to go,' one disgruntled person said. Though they went on to add the 'earthworks' was the noisiest portion of the build, the neighbour said nowadays it has 'actually settled down quite a bit'. Andy and Rebecca have grand plans for their Italianate manor, with the planned renovation worth an estimated $5million having begun in 2023. The comedian has been hard at work on the derelict Melbourne mansion, called Ravenswood, he bought for $8.5million in 2021, in a Block-style rebuild. The couple won council approval for their development application back in June 2023. Plans for the site include adding a second building which will be connected by a tunnel to the original Italianate mansion, which was built around 1876. Other highlights planned for the 1,950 square metre holding include a home theatre, a gym, a swimming pool and a 'mega bedroom'. In a statement to the Herald Sun, Boroondara Council confirmed it had issued a notice of decision to grant a planning permit for the Yarra Grove address. One neighbour told the Sydney Morning Herald in December the construction cacophony had caused the couple to lose 'a lot of community goodwill'. 'The noise is just horrendous,' the disgruntled neighbour told the publication.

'Deb's been desperate to have her side of the story out there,' an alleged source told the outlet. 'She's been writing down all her thoughts, the good and the bad, and logging every detail of this ugly roller-coaster divorce. 'As soon as her lawyers allow it, she will be talking to publishers about a deal.' It comes just weeks after Furness filed official divorce papers, ending her 27-year marriage to Jackman, and released a public statement where she spoke of her 'traumatic journey of betrayal'. 'My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal,' she told Daily Mail. 'It's a profound wound that cuts deep, however, I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us. 'This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage. 'I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose. 'It can hurt but in the long run returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values and boundaries is liberation and freedom.' She ended her statement with the 'one thing' she has learned, which is 'that none of this is personal'. While Jackman is yet to address his ex-wife's commentary, the movie star was spotted with fellow Australian celebrity and friend Andy Lee. Jackman shared a photo of them together to his Instagram after making a visit to the comedian's new Aussie pub Old Mates. In another photo, Jackman posed with Lee and his business partner Eddy Buckingham behind the bar. Lee opened the Aussie-themed pub in February and it has been a hit among Aussies in New York since its opening night. It comes after Lee recently revealed how a tribute to Jackman in his pub went horribly wrong. Speaking to Nine Entertainment in May, the funnyman revealed that he wanted to place secret nods to the backers on the walls of the pub. 'I asked them what's their favourite pub in Australia, their favourite drink?' he said. 'There's little nods to all of them. Everyone's favourite pub in Australia is framed and hanging on the wall.' However, Jackman's tribute did not last the first full day of trading, falling victim to a workplace accident. 'Unfortunately we smashed Jackman's on day one accidentally,' Andy admitted. 'It was hanging above the register and one of the employees walked around the corner and knocked it off and smashed the glass!' The Hundred host did reveal however that Hugh's favourite place to grab a beer Down Under is the iconic Sydney watering hole The Oaks Hotel in Neutral Bay. He first announced his plans to open a New York pub back in December last year.
