Narberth's former library for sale with £120,000 guide price

The former Narberth Library in St James Street, Narberth, has been empty since the town's new library opened last year. Concern was recently raised after the building was broken into and vandalised, with police saying they would be stepping up patrols to protect it from further damage. Originally a Wesleyan church, the single-storey building, declared surplus to requirements by Pembrokeshire County Council, is now on the market with a guide price of £120,000. The sale of the former library offers an 'exciting opportunity', say the agents. (Image: John Francis) It is due to be sold by agents John Francis under the Modern Method of Auction, enabling interested buyers to bid online. The library was temporarily closed by the council for essential building work in November 20222, re-opening almost a year later. Its final chapter came in October 2024 when Narberth's new purpose-built library opened in the redeveloped Old School site at the entrance to the Townsmoor car park. It is operated by the Friends of Narberth Library, in conjunction with Pembrokeshire County Council and Narberth Town Council. The former library is 'a versatile space full of character'. (Image: John Francis) The agents state that the sale of the former library building is 'an exciting opportunity'. They add: "This unique premises offers a versatile space full of character and potential, suitable for a variety of uses (subject to the necessary planning consents). "The premises feature a spacious open-plan studio area, complemented by office space and kitchen facilities, making it ideal for creative, commercial, or community purposes." The building features a porch, reception room/open plan area, inner hallway, kitchen area, office and outbuilding.

Beautiful UK island has 'Caribbean-worthy beaches' with crystal-clear waters

Brits planning a staycation may want to head to one UK island where the beaches are so spectacular you could easily think you're actually in the Caribbean The UK is full of breathtaking beaches, but there's one staycation spot where the white sands and turquoise waters rival the shores of holiday hotspots like the Maldives or Caribbean islands. The Isle of Harris in Scotland's Outer Hebrides has beaches so spectacular, they regularly feature on round-ups of the world's best beaches, and it's not difficult to see why. The most famous, Luskentyre beach, boasts a remote location so it's unspoiled, with a handful of tourists wandering along the shores. ‌ It's a popular birdwatching spot thanks to the variety of species that nest near its picture-perfect sandy dunes, green landscapes and eye-catching rocky cliffs. The white sands and crystal-clear waters could easily be mistaken for those from an exotic tropical destination, although visitors have warned that the cold waters can be a stark reminder that you're very much still in Scotland. (Pack a wetsuit if you are tempted to take a dip). ‌ On Tripadvisor, visitors who made the trek continue to be floored by how picturesque of a setting the beach is. One happy holidaymaker wrote: "10 out 5! This beach is Outstanding!!! I've never seen anything quite like it before. The views on the drive up to the car park are other-worldly. Beautiful turquoise water, soft golden sand that stretches for miles, grass covered dunes. There's a public toilet at the car park with a donation box, so that's helpful! The wind blew warm when we were there in early May, and it was so much warmer than the other end of the island we visited later the same day. As we were walking out we even got to see 2 highland cows sitting on the bluff overlooking the beach, chewing their cud." Another added: "Luskentyre beach is the most stunning beach I have ever visited, which is saying something, as I am in my seventieth year. When I first saw it my breath was literally taken away. It has beautiful sand and is never crowded. The sea is crystal clear and there are views across to Taransay." It's not the only awe-inspiring bit of coast on the island. Head over to Seilebost, a tiny village with a campsite that offers up some ridiculously gorgeous views of Luskentyre as well as boasting its own beautiful golden sandy shores. "As with all the beaches on Harris the views are magnificent," wrote one intrepid explorer. "Ample car parking beside the Old School and a short walk across the dunes to the beach. Long curved beach which had a calm lagoon area at low tide. Strangely the sand on this beach was much softer than all the others but still excellent for a long walk." Top tip: head over in the evenings in late spring and summer when the primroses flower for something extra Instagram-worthy! If you want to visit the Isle of Harris, you can do so by either ferry or air. According to Visit Scotland, there are daily car ferries from Ullapool on the mainland to Stornoway, the main town of Lewis and Harris. Meanwhile the port of Tarbert on Harris is linked to Uig on the Isle of Skye, which also has daily ferries between the two. If you want to fly, the island does have an airport which is served by Loganair, with flights from the likes of Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness, and Benbecula.

4 WWE Undertaker dream matches for the modern-era wrestlers

Image via WWE A match with The Undertaker for the modern era wrestlers would have been a dream showdown. The Undertaker will go down in the WWE history books as one of the greatest superstars of all time. His three decades of destruction, captivating character and impressive in-ring style has made him one of the most respected and renowned figures in professional. After thirty years of competing as an in-ring performers, The Phenom retired after his last match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36. However, had he still been an active competitor, here are the top four superstars who would have proven to be a formidable challenge for The Undertaker. 4. Damian Priest Damian Priest has been very much open about the influence of The Undertaker on his wrestling career. Priest has been called as the modern day Taker and even 'bisexual Undertaker' by others on social media. Moreover, Priest uses Taker's Old School and Chokeslam moves in his own way in the ring. Had The Undertaker still been wrestling, a match against Priest would have been a dream come true for the young and rising star. 3. Drew McIntyre Drew McIntyre has shared the ring with The Undertaker a few times in his WWE career. However, he did it long before he became a too attraction for the Stamford-based promotion. Amidst his rise, he did battle The Undertaker in a tag team match at the 2019 WWE Extreme Rules event, but never a singles bout. So, he would have proven to be a challenge for The Undertaker in the modern era. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch Bitcoin và Ethereum - Không cần ví! Moreover, Rollins was at the peak of his career when Taker was active on the roster, but never got to share the ring with The Demon from Death Valley. A match between Seth Rollins and The Undertaker would have been an exciting affair in the modern era as Taker had always put up stellar showdowns against more opponents more agile and smaller than his him. 1. Cody Rhodes Much like Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes has shared the ring with The Undertaker in the past. However, as the flagship WWE star and at the top of his game, fans never witnessed that spectacular showdown between Rhodes and Taker. With both superstars in their prime and as active performers, Rhodes and Taker would have produced one of the greatest in-ring matches of all time. 'Old School Ross' still has place at Saints: Riewoldt

Nick Riewoldt likes that his old coach Ross Lyon now has a couple of "gears". And Lyon may well need to cycle through his personas when St Kilda play West Coast in an AFL danger game on Sunday in Perth. Riewoldt, the former Saints captain, is encouraged by what his team is showing this season after returning to Australia from a couple of years in the United States. While he was away, Lyon returned to Moorabbin as coach, pledging a little less of the hard-nosed coach Riewoldt knew all too well. But as Saints youngster Hugo Garcia found out a couple of weeks ago, Lyon's angry side is still there. "I like the gears. I like how Ross has gears now - so he can move," Riewoldt told AAP. "The 'Old School Ross' that came out with Garcia, and then the response, it's clearly a coach who knows his player, right? "I like seeing a bit of the Old School Ross come back, because to me it's the passion, it's the hard edge that you need to drive really high standards. "The fact that he's been able to evolve with the game, with a young group, and what he's getting out of his young players at the moment, it bodes really well for the next few years." St Kilda at their best are a solid team shown by their strangling of Fremantle a fortnight ago. But the Eagles went within a kick of beating Richmond at the MCG on Sunday and their first win for the season is coming. There is a sense of opponents playing "West Coast roulette" - no-one wants to be on the wrong end of them breaking the drought. Riewoldt recalled hosting Melbourne captain Max Gawn on his radio show, ahead of the Demons travelling to Perth. Melbourne won, but had to fight back. "Melbourne win a couple of games and he comes in, it's 'oh Max, you have West Coast next week'," Riewoldt said. "He said they lost the corresponding game last year. The reality is, you're going over there, they're AFL players - they have premiership players in their side. "The margins are so small ... with any team." Ex-Boyzone star Keith Duffy says he wanted to be ‘a drummer in a rock band'

'I never wanted to be in a boy band.' Former Boyzone singer Keith Duffy has said the public reaction to the Boyzone documentary No Matter What was 'phenomenal'. Duffy was appearing on The Late Late Show alongside his fellow Boyzlife member, former Westlife singer Brian McFadden, to reflect on 10 years of the supergroup. "It's difficult because it's our story, and it was a difficult one because when you come from tough enough beginnings, and I was never very academic. I didn't like school and I didn't really know where my future lay,' Duffy said. 'I was in a marching band, I was a drummer. I liked playing the drums, I was in a couple of bands as a teenager. I never wanted to be in a boy band, I wanted to be a drummer in a rock band. But you take what you get. "The opportunities in life that we've been given, we're very appreciative of it, but then when you see it back in front of you in a documentary, it's kind of like everybody didn't know what went on behind closed doors. "There's a part of you that wants everybody to believe that it was what they thought it was and it's very vulnerable for people to see you in a vulnerable state. "It's an amazing documentary and it's a great legacy for our children and our grandchildren one day to see, to know what we achieved.' McFadden said interviews with boy bands are typically done as a group and he 'loved' that each member of Boyzone was interviewed individually for No Matter What. "They were able to give their own individual experience of what being in a boy band was, and I thought it was great because there was even things some of the boys said that I didn't even know happened, and I know all the boys for 25 years. "You don't know what goes on mentally for people when they're in a band and the stuff that they go through.' McFadden said watching the documentary was 'therapeutic' for him as he and the other members of Westlife had gone through similar experiences. Reflecting on a decade of Boyzlife, he said the collaboration with Duffy was originally supposed to be 'a four-week deal'. Boyzlife started out as a stage show before becoming a supergroup of McFadden and Duffy performing the hits of both of their former bands. They have started making new, original music together as Boyzlife, with debut album Strings Attached releasing in 2020, followed by Old School in 2022. Recalling the origins of the idea for Boyzlife, McFadden said it all started over a couple of pints at Whelan's in Dublin following a solo gig. "We were just catching up on what was going on and Keith was telling me about this show he had written for himself, which was an autobiographical show where instead of writing a book he would tell his life story on stage. "I thought that was a brilliant idea, so later on that night we said wouldn't it be great if we did it together? So, we would actually go on stage and interview each other, and tell stories together about our life. That's what Boyzlife was, it was never actually a band name, it was the name of the show we were doing.' McFadden said from that point on, Boyzlife began 'snowballing' into what it has become today, with the pair on tour playing the hits of both Boyzone and Westlife together and also releasing new music. "It was supposed to be a four-week deal and 10 years later, we're still here.'
