Royal Office Minister receives ambassador of Russia
Muscat: Gen. Sultan Mohammed Al Nu'amani, Minister of the Royal Office received in his office today Oleg Vladimirovich Levin, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Sultanate of Oman. The ambassador expressed his appreciation for the Sultanate of Oman's role in enhancing mutual cooperation. During the meeting, the two sides explored means of boosting bilateral relations in all spheres.

Muscat: The Diplomatic Club in Muscat became the centre of commemoration as it recently hosted a grand ceremonial celebration marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Held under the patronage of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of Moscow, the event honoured the legacy of Victory Day while fostering cultural and diplomatic ties. Organised by Russian House Oman, with the support of the Board of Russian Compatriots in Oman, the evening featured a memorial ceremony, the 'Immortal Regiment' campaign, and a festive concert showcasing songs from the war years. Guests were treated to a fiery Cossack show performed by the famous ensemble 'Lyubo-Milo' from Russia, a buffet featuring Russian and Soviet cuisine, and photo zones styled after wartime days, allowing attendees to capture memorable moments. Spring Festival Maslenitsa to return to Oman annually from 2026
Muscat –The Spring Festival Maslenitsa, a spectacular celebration of Russian culture, is set to return in 2026, officially becoming a recurring annual event in Oman's cultural calendar. In a press statement on Saturday, the organisers confirmed that the next edition will take place on February 6-7, 2026, building on the tremendous success of this year's festival. With over 20,000 visitors in attendance at Al Mouj, Muscat, at the festival that concluded recently, the event promises to become a beloved tradition that strengthens the ties between Russia and Oman while welcoming visitors of all nationalities to experience the vibrant heritage of Maslenitsa. A cultural milestone for Oman and Russia Organised by the Russian House Oman and sponsored by Al Mouj Muscat, with support from Oman's Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, as well as the Russian Ministry of Culture, the Government of St. Petersburg, and the Russian Embassy, this year's festival also marked the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Oman. The festival served as a platform for fostering cultural understanding and strengthening the bonds between the two nations.
