The downfall of Hollywood heartthrob Olivier Martinez: The 'French Brad Pitt' with a string of award-winning roles and beautiful women on his arm is now unrecognisable and 'living off payments from ex Halle Berry'
He was once one of Hollywood's biggest heartthrobs and was dubbed the 'French Brad Pitt '. But two decades on from his Noughties heyday, Olivier Martinez is worlds away from the tall, dark and handsome actor after taking on bitter legal battles and little work. Olivier, 59, who is best know for his roles in the films Unfaithful and S.W.A.T., had his fair share of success in the industry - earning a coveted César Award and starring in Hollywood blockbusters. With the star dating Kylie Minogue and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley before marrying Halle Berry, Olivier also enjoyed a string of high-profile romances over the years. Yet in recent years, Olivier has shirked the spotlight with his new lifestyle a far cry from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood he once enjoyed. Having only starred in three films since 2018, the actor appears to have taken a step back while at the center of a bitter custody battle - which claimed he was supporting himself using his ex wife Halle's finances. Olivier and Halle wed in 2013 - the same year they welcomed their son Maceo, 11 - and split in 2016. The couple's divorce was finalised in 2023, with the outcome being joint custody and Halle paying child support. But last year Halle launched a legal battle against the actor as she claimed he was trying to take time off from their co-parenting therapy - requesting that he is compelled to participate. In October, a judge sided with the actress, after Halle claimed he was trying to take time off from their co-parenting therapy and requested he is compelled to participate. The judge agreed with Halle in legal documents obtained by TMZ, but noted that Olivier already complied with her request after she took him to court. In documents obtained by US Weekly, Halle claimed she has spent over $200,000 in legal fees including 'voluntarily' contributing $80,000 towards Olivier's own legal expenses. She also claimed the actor was supporting himself financially using her child support payments. Halle was seeking sole custody of their child as she claimed Maceo is struggling in school and that he is, 'grade levels behind,' adding he'd been diagnosed with ADHD and mild dyslexia. Halle, who also shares daughter, Nahla, 16, with her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, 47, added that Olivier was, 'either oblivious' to his difficulties or, 'carelessly disregards them,' which she said proves he's unfit for custody. She claimed his 'turbulent behavior' and his prioritising of their son learning soccer over school has resulted in Maceo falling behind his classmates. The former couple met in 2010 on the set of the film Dark Tide in South Africa. Before he met Halle, Olivier dated model Rosie in 2009 after they met at a Victoria`s Secret fashion show - where she made her debut. The couple appeared in happy spirits during their relationship but the pair went their separate ways over long distance issues. Olivier also famously dated Australian singer Kylie from 2003 to 2007 after he met her at the Grammy Awards. He was believed to be a source of strength for the songstress when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005. He reportedly helped her cope with difficult hurdles and encouraged her to find moments of joy even during her treatment. Despite their flourishing romance, the pair went their separate ways after rumours that Olivier was unfaithful with Israeli-born actress, model and artist Sarai Givati. At the time, Olivier and Kylie denied the reports of infidelity and it has appeared that they have remained friends as they were spotted enjoying a lunch together after Olivier's divorce. Before Kylie he was romantically involved with American actress Mira Sorvino from 1999 to 2002. Olivier shot to fame in 1995 after he starred in The Horseman on the Roof, billed in his American promotional tour for that movie as 'the French Brad Pitt'. He is originally from a working-class family, raised in the Paris suburbs and left school at an early age, holding various pick-up jobs such as salesman for jeans. Olivier was initially going to follow in his father's footsteps and try to become a boxer but his friends urged him to try acting, and at age 23 he enrolled in the International Conservatory of Paris. After several television shows, he reached the international market in 1995 and went on to star an array of films and TV shows. Before his international fame, he bagged the Most Promising Actor at the César Awards in 1994. Olivier also won the Prix Jean Gabin award in 1933 and was nominated for Best Male Performance for The Steamy Awards. Since his debut as Rollo Navarro in 1990, the actor has starred in 34 productions with his most notable including Unfaithful, S.W.A.T., Before Night Falls, Taking Lives, and The Horseman on the Roof. He also received critical acclaim for his performance in Un, deux, trois, soleil - which translates to 1, 2, 3, Sun and is a 1993 French surrealist black comedy film directed by Bertrand Blier. Between 2000 and 2004 the actor starred in 10 productions but since then his work has been fleeting. He last starred in 2020's Mosquito State - a Polish-American psychological thriller. Olivier currently lives in Los Angeles, California, and he has not confirmed a romantic relationship with anyone since his divorce.

Halle Berry, 58, lays naked in bed with boyfriend after wearing pubic area exposing dress at Met Gala 2025
Halle Berry put on yet another eyebrow raising display after sending tongues wagging in a pubic area exposing dress at the Met Gala last week. The 58-year-old Oscar winner took to Instagram on Mother's Day Sunday to share a video of her laying naked in bed with equally nude musician boyfriend Van Hunt, 55, as she had a bottle of lubricant in her hand. Halle made some not so subtle references that the couple were about to have sex as she said: 'So I told y'all how my day started. How my Mother's Day started. 'And now I'm gonna tell you about, I'm not going to show you, I'm gonna tell you about how my Mother's Day is gonna end. You know, ain't that right babe?' The A-lister giggled as Van said: 'Yeah, I wish you'd hurry up too.' Halle then held up a small bottle of personal lubricant Let's Spin and laughed more. She then said: 'First of all, we got our Let's Spin because Let's Spin just came out in this cute little travel size and so since we're in Cannes, France I traveled with it for the first time. And we're about to give it a spin.' Halle has a 17-year-old daughter named Nahla Ariela Aubry with ex-partner Gabriel Aubry and 11-year-old son Maceo-Robert Martinez with ex husband Olivier Martinez. Meanwhile, last Monday the stunner left Met Gala 2025 fans horrified as she went underwear-free on the red carpet in her most risque look ever. The modeled a plunging, beaded black and sheer striped LaQuan Smith gown - but risked a major wardrobe malfunction every time she moved due to her lack of lingerie. Parts of her midriff and crotch were exposed in the daring ensemble, which she teamed with a cropped black blazer with shoulder pads. The Catwoman actress wasn't the only star daring to bare: White Lotus star Lisa exposed her underwear, Kim Kardashian showed off her curves, and Sabrina Carpenter and Jenna Ortega opted for no-pant ensembles. Halle gave guests and viewers at home a further eyeful as she put her ample cleavage on display. The dress boasted a train, and her look was accented with a small fascinator hat and flashy statement jewelry. Social media fans branded the star 'disgraceful' for flashing her pubic area while others said she looked 'great' but urgently needed to cover up. One person wrote, 'Halle... my girl. I expected more from you. We get it. The body is bodying and you have aged like a fine, fine wine. But this is not the move.' Someone else added, 'Halle Berry is still hot but doesn't need to dress like that.' Another disappointed fan zoomed in on a photo of her hip area and accused her of 'dropping the ball.' An angry spectator weighed in, 'Halle Berry's outfit was disgraceful. You could see her pubic area,' with a red-faced emoji. 'This needs a warning,' someone else complained while another person simply asked, 'Where are her undies?' This year's Met Gala theme was Superfine: Tailoring Black Style - based on Monica L. Miller's 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity - and the dress code was Tailored for You. The theme was meant to pay homage to Black dandyism, a style with European roots that started post-Emancipation and came out in full force during the Harlem Renaissance. The Oscar-winning actress modeled a plunging, beaded black and sheer striped LaQuan Smith gown - but risked a major wardrobe malfunction every time she moved due to her lack of lingerie at the Met Gala last week Social media fans branded the star 'disgraceful' for flashing her pubic area while others said she looked 'great' but needed to cover up He further noted, 'The dress's details showcase the ethos of the theme: exaggerated lines, luxurious fabrics, and sheer boldness.' Smith told Vogue about his creation, 'It captures the theme's message of self-expression and being bold in the way that you look and dress.' LaQuan described the overall look as 'a mix of sexy-Bond-girl meets Harlem Renaissance.' He highlighted collaborating with Halle as he shared with Vogue, 'She knows exactly who she is and has such a clear sense of style, but she's also incredibly collaborative. During the fittings, she wasn't just stepping into a garment—she was shaping it with me.' He recalled, 'She pushed for certain cuts that enhanced her movement, and we played with sheer panels to strike that perfect balance between elegance and edge. Her input was always intentional, always rooted in how she wanted to feel in the piece—not just how it looked.' The designer, who also dressed Ciara for the occasion, told People, 'I've always been inspired by the essence of Harlem Renaissance and this jazzy era. 'For me, sharp tailoring and an exaggerated shoulder is what I've always been incorporating in my collections. I love the '80s as well, and the fearlessness of Josephine Baker, so I think that you're going to be able to get some of the essence of all of those notes through the design.' The concept of this year's gala came from the Costume Institute's spring exhibition highlighting Black dandyism. The co-chairs, who hosted the swanky affair, included actor Colman Domingo, Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton, rapper A$AP Rocky and musician and Louis Vuitton men's creative director Pharrell Williams. LeBron James will also join, acting as honorary chair.
