Oman Customs foils cigarette smuggling attempt
Muscat: Oman Customs has successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle restricted quantities of cigarettes and e-shisha into the Sultanate of Oman by two expatriates. Oman Customs stated: "Hafeet Customs thwarted an attempt by two Indian nationals to smuggle restricted quantities of cigarettes and e-shisha, in addition to more than 600 packs of tobacco derivatives, which were expertly hidden in the compartments of their vehicle. Legal proceedings are underway against them."

Oman Customs said in a statement :"Muscat International Airport Customs thwarted an Asian passenger's attempt to smuggle 2.237 kilograms of marijuana, which he had hidden tightly among his personal luggage."
