Oman, Egypt sign energy partnership agreement
Oman and Egypt signed a private-sector partnership agreement in the energy field. The partnership focuses on exchanging expertise, transferring technology, and developing high-quality products in line with the highest environmental standards, serving local, regional, and international markets. The agreement was signed on August 18 at the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Cairo, Egypt. Abdullah Al Rahbi, Ambassador of Oman to Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the Arab League, affirmed: 'We continue working to translate our shared history into tangible economic and developmental partnerships that serve the aspirations of both nations and drive sustainable development within a strategic framework that fosters innovation and enhances added value.' Royal Decree establishes embassy for Oman in Romania
Muscat, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued Royal Decree (No. 59/2025) on establishing an embassy for the Sultanate of Oman in Romania. Article (1) states that an embassy for the Sultanate of Oman shall be established in Romania. Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.

HH Sayyid Asa'ad arrives in Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur: HH Sayyid Asa'ad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan arrived at Malaysia to chair the Sultanate of Oman's delegation at the GCC-ASEAN Summit and the GCC-ASEAN-China Summit, scheduled to be held on Tuesday in Kuala Lumpur. Upon HH Sayyid Asa'ad and his accompanying delegation's arrival at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, they were received by Fahmi Fadzil, Malaysia's Minister of Communications, Dato Yubazlan bin Haji Yusof, Malaysia's Chief of Protocol, Sheikh Al Abbas Ibrahim Al Harthy, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Malaysia, several members of the embassy and a number of Malaysian officials.
