Oman resident named ‘Exemplary Leader of the Year'
MUSCAT: Dr J Retnakumar, CEO of Insurance Service Centre (ISC) Oman and Chairman of Privity Insurance Brokers, India, was awarded the 'Exemplary Leader of the Year' at the Oman Leadership Awards 2025. The ceremony, organised by CMO Asia/CMO Global, took place at Crowne Plaza, OCEC, with top industry leaders from across Oman in attendance. Dr Retnakumar has contributed significantly to social development and the empowerment of underprivileged communities in India, alongside his long-standing service in Oman's insurance sector. The award citation praised his inspirational international engagement in insurance and social work, highlighting his consistent commitment to timely service and dedication to humanity. Expressing his gratitude, Dr Retnakumar said, 'This award reflects the trust built through ISC. We remain committed to value-driven insurance solutions and advancing industry standards. It motivates us to continue our journey towards sustainability'. He also acknowledged the dedication of his team and the company's focus on digital transformation and customer satisfaction. Dr Retnakumar is the Founder Chairman of Bhavalaya Art & Culture Foundation, Global Chairman of the World Malayali Federation (WMF), Chairman of Malayalam Mission Oman and Chairman of the annual Indian Science Forum Oman. The Oman Leadership Awards recognise outstanding achievements and innovation across industries, celebrating leaders who demonstrate excellence and visionary leadership.

'Dr J Retnakumar's international engagements in the insurance sector and the social sector have been inspirational and this recognition highlights his consistent commitment to timely service in insurance sector and his commitment to humanity and the society,' according to the citation given along with the award.
