Omani-Bahraini Bazaar Kicks Off with 30 Exhibitors from Both Nations

The Omani-Bahraini Bazaar officially opened at Oman Mall in Muscat, under the patronage of H.E. Qais bin Muhammad Al Yousef, Minister of Trade, Industry, and Investment Promotion of Oman. The opening ceremony was attended by H.E. Dr. Jumaa bin Ahmed Al-Kaabi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Oman, Mrs. Radina bint Amer Al-Hajriya, Chairperson of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association, as well as a number of esteemed diplomats, officials, civil society representatives, local media, and members of the Bahraini community in Muscat. The event, which runs until March 26, is organized by the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association, in collaboration with the Bahraini Embassy in Oman. It features 30 exhibitors, including 17 Omani and 13 Bahraini entrepreneurs showcasing a variety of products ranging from fashion, perfumes, incense, Omani frankincense, Omani and Bahraini sweets, accessories, and traditional handicrafts, all reflecting the cultural heritage of both nations, as well as essential family products. This exhibition is a testament to the deep-rooted, historic relations between the two nations, reflecting the shared commitment of the leadership in both countries to foster closer ties and cooperation across various sectors. The event aims to support entrepreneurs in both countries, helping them create job opportunities, boost trade exchanges, and foster partnerships through trade fairs in various fields. It aligns with the goals of Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030 and Oman's Vision 2040, emphasizing the role of entrepreneurs in economic development, opening new markets, and promoting trade between the two nations. H.E. Dr. Jumaa bin Ahmed Al-Kaabi, Bahrain's Ambassador to Oman, emphasized that this exhibition underscores Bahrain's dedication to supporting its entrepreneurs, enhancing their output, and boosting their contribution to the national economy. He noted that the event is a reflection of the strong Bahraini-Omani relations and aligns with the directives of the leadership in both nations to deepen cooperation in all sectors. The exhibition also reflects the outcomes of the historic visit of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Oman in January of this year. Furthermore, Ambassador Al-Kaabi praised the growing trade relations and the increasing cooperation between the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of both countries. He emphasized that such events add significant value to the relationship between Muscat and Manama, serving as a model for how relations between brotherly nations should evolve. For her part, Mrs. Radina bint Amer Al-Hajriya, Chairperson of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association, highlighted that the exhibition is the result of collaboration between the Bahraini Embassy in Oman and the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association. The event was attended by Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al Kaabi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Oman; and Rudaina bint Amer Al Hajriyah, Chairwoman of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association. Organised by the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association in cooperation with Bahrain's Embassy in Oman, the exhibition runs until March 26 and features 30 exhibitors—17 from Oman and 13 from Bahrain—showcasing products including clothing, perfumes, traditional sweets, accessories, and handicrafts reflecting both cultures. The event aims to enhance Bahraini-Omani ties, support entrepreneurs, create job opportunities, and boost trade partnerships. It aligns with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and Oman Vision 2040, highlighting the role of entrepreneurs in economic growth. Al Kaabi said the organisation of this edition of the bazaar reflects Bahrain's support for entrepreneurship. The exhibition features 30 exhibitors, including 17 Omanis and 13 Bahrainis, offering a diverse range of products, including fashion, perfumes, incense, Omani frankincense, traditional sweets, accessories, handicrafts, heritage products, and household items. The exhibition, which runs until Wednesday, March 26, aims to strengthen the historical relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain, support entrepreneurs, create new investment opportunities, and increase trade exchange. The Chairwoman of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association emphasized that organising exhibitions is one of the main priorities of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association. These events are part of various activities and represent an added value to the economies of both brotherly countries by supporting entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises, with the aim of creating economic and commercial activity between the two brotherly countries. Al Hajri explained that the Omani-Bahraini Bazaar Exhibition in Muscat is the fourth event of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association, following the success of the Products Exhibition held last January in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain. She noted that there is a package of upcoming events—including exhibitions, seminars, and conferences—that will take place this year, 2025, and are organized by the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association in cooperation with the embassies of both countries.
