Barka Quran Centre inaugurated
BARKA: The Omani Society for the Care of the Holy Quran on Wednesday inaugurated the Barka Quran Centre, marking its twelfth branch across the Sultanate of Oman, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote Quran studies and education.
The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Sayyid Tariq bin Mahmoud al Busaidy, Wali of Barka.
Dr Ahmed Said al Busaidy, Board Member of the Society, delivered a speech emphasising the significance of the new centre. He highlighted the Omani Society for the Care of the Holy Quran's commitment to providing an integrated educational environment dedicated to Quran memorisation and the teaching of its studies through specialised programmes tailored for various age groups.
The ceremony featured a visual presentation titled "The Blessed Seed Programme", detailing the centre's key initiatives, including the Quran Ijazah Programme, the Young Reciter Programme and the "Surahs of My Prayer" course, alongside other intensive programmes aimed at fostering Quran literacy. — ONA
