Can you wall run in Call of Duty Black Ops 6? Every possibility explored
Image via Activision. Call of Duty Black Ops 6 was slated to open a new chapter in the franchise's history. To begin with, developers introduced a new kind of movement mechanics called Omni-movement. With this franchise first feature, players can slide in any direction they want, even backwards. This new movement mechanics literally changed the way CoD was played before. The game became all about fast and pacey maneuvers all over the maps, instead of swift aims. Now it seems Activision might be bringing back another movement mechanism from the past. Before Omni-movement, there was a maneuver technique called wall running which blew everyone's mind. As the name suggests, players could easily run while being tilted on the wall, but just for a small period of time. This feature was more prevalent in the titles like Black Ops 3 and Advanced Warfare. However, wall running wasn't initially available in Black Ops 6 and Treyarch never intended to introduce this feature in the game as well. However, despite its absence, players in Black Ops 6 are still wall running and the videos of it are all over the internet. Many fans thought that these clips are from any other CoD title which officially featured wall running but that's not the case. These clips are really from Black Ops 6. So, players are wondering, if there is no official inclusion of this movement technique in the game, then how can people still run on the wall? A prominent CoD leaker 'CALL OF DUTY WARFARE', Treyarch actually added this feature in the Season 3 Reloaded update files in Black Ops 6 but never made it official. This feature now might have risen from those files as a glitch and players are exploiting that. But it's hard to understand that if this feature was added in the game, then why isn't it made official? Actually wall running was previously rumored to be featured in Call of Duty 2025 which is slated to be a sequel of Black Ops 6. So, the developers might have added this game to test it out in the newer gen Call of Duty titles and also how well it is pairing up with the Omni-movement. There is another title rumored to be released before CoD 2026, which is Modern Warfare 4. But that title might not have wall running as it is also rumored to be scraping away Omni-movement . Now, let's answer the question? Can you actually wall run in Black Ops 6? It's actually a glitch, so whenever you encounter that, you can wall run. But it's not going to be executed at every mode of the game. It is said to be usable only in the private lobbies. However, nothing has been official so far. The Season 4 update is knocking on the door, and we might get more official details on wall running with that update. Call of Duty 2026 aka Modern Warfare 4 is reportedly scrapping the most controversial feature of Black Ops 6
Image via Treayrch. It's 2025 and people have already started speculating about Call of Duty 2026 . As this franchise has been following a yearly release model since 2005, fans can expect a title in 2026 for sure. We are yet to get any solid news regarding CoD 2025, but rumors are at its peak for CoD 2026. There has been no confirmation regarding this title, per rumors suggest that 2026 CoD title is going to be a sequel of Modern Warfare III, unlike CoD 2025, which is set in the Black Ops universe. Amidst all the rumors, there has been a new one which claims that in 2026, Activison might get rid of the feature, for which it faced huge criticism in Black Ops 6. Rumor: There might be no Omni-movement in Call of Duty 2026 Black Ops 6 set a new tone for the Call of Duty franchise. Developers already promised before the release of the game that BO6 was going to mark the beginning of a new chapter for the long-hailed series. And this new beginning started with the introduction of a new movement mechanics called Omni-movement. With this movement mechanics, you can slide in any direction you want, even backwards. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Inside Harry and Meghan's Stunning California Mansion BridesBlush Undo However, tables turned over everyone's head after the release of the game as Black Ops 6 faced huge backlash initially. And center of all the criticisms was this new movement scheme. Fans didn't like this new maneuver system at all. Treyarch later on fixed all the persisting issues in the game and Black Ops 6 went on to become one of the best games in the series. But people still rant about Omni-movement. Now there's a new report from credible industry insider @TheGhostOfHope which states that Call of Duty 2026 aka Modern Warfare 4 might not include Omni-movement anymore. However, this is not the final decision from Activision, as the developers might change their minds next year, when we get closer to the game. But for now, there is no plan to feature Omni-movement in 2026's title. TheGhostOfHope also stated that there has been a leak a while ago which claimed Call of Duty 2026 (MW4) would have the same movement mechanics as Call of Duty 2025 (BO7). But after this report, that leak is no longer legit as well. However, there is a rumor regarding CoD 2025 that might disappoint the fans . Now, what might be the probable reason for the Omni-movement being scrapped away from the future Call of Duty title? Frankly speaking, this was quite obvious. In the name of beginning a new chapter for the Call of Duty franchise, this new movement mechanics absolutely killed the familiar CoD vibe. After Omni-movement, the game became more about movements, rather than gun-fights. As these are just rumors, this report should be taken with a grain of salt. We still don't have information about Call of Duty 2026, but if Activision gets rid of Omni-movement, then many fans are going to be relieved for sure.
