Prized four-star recruit locks in official visit with LSU football
Prized four-star recruit locks in official visit with LSU football On3's Steve Wiltfong reported Wednesday that four-star defensive lineman Deuce Geralds will visit LSU as one of four scheduled official visits over the next month. The 2026 prospect heads to Baton Rouge on May 30 before visits to Ole Miss, Oregon, and Ohio State. The Suwanee, GA native ranks as the state's No. 9 prospect and No. 6 at his position, according to On3's Industry Rankings. Per the On3 Prediction Machine, Ohio State is the favorite to land Gerlads with a 79.1% chance. Ole Miss is also in contention, but LSU isn't out of the race yet. Geralds would be the second commit at defensive line alongside five-star Richard Anderson in LSU's 2026 group. With a retooled defensive front under Blake Baker, LSU provides an experienced lineup that Geralds would develop under before making a major impact himself. More on LSU football's 2026 recruiting class LSU football's 2026 recruiting class ranks No. 1 in college football, ahead of USC at No. 2 and Ohio State at No. 3. LSU football quarterback target earns Elite 11 invite
LSU football quarterback target earns Elite 11 invite LSU football's top quarterback target, Bowe Bentley, was invited to the Elite 11 finals. The field was rolled out earlier this week, with the Texas product making the cut. Bentley remains uncommitted, but his recruitment is down to LSU and Oklahoma. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Bentley is the No. 7 ranked QB in the class and the No. 76 overall prospect. Bentley took off in the last year after 2024 was his first time in the starting role for his high school squad. LSU's 2026 recruiting class ranks No. 2 in the nation, but the Tigers want to add a QB. Bentley is the most likely option with most elite quarterbacks already off the board. However, the On3 Prediction Machine tabs Oklahoma as the favorite to land Bentley's services. LSU and Oklahoma are the only two official visits Bentley has on the calendar this summer. LSU missed on its top QB target last year with Bryce Underwood flipping to Michigan. LSU and staff look to avoid that fate this cycle. What is the Elite 11? The Elite 11 describes itself as, "The nation's premier quarterback camp series and competition." Quarterbacks from around the country compete at regional camps throughout the year. The top talents are invited to the Elite 11 Finals, a three-day event hosted annually every summer. Twenty QBs earn a finals invitation. At the end of the week, the top 11 passers are named the "Elite 11." The event also crowns an Elite 11 MVP. The last LSU QB to participate in the finals was Colin Hurley in 2023. Hurley's week was strong enough to be named an Elite 11 finalist.

LSU football making strong push for elite Texas quarterback
LSU football making strong push for elite Texas quarterback LSU football is emerging as a strong contender for one of the top quarterback recruits in the class of 2026. Per a report from On3, four-star quarterback Bowe Bentley is down to LSU, Oklahoma, and Georgia. He has official visits locked in with all three programs. Bentley had high praise for LSU. "The Heismans they've had and the development Coach (Joe) Sloan has with each quarterback, and being one of the top programs in the SEC. Coach (Brian) Kelly and my relationship with them has been amazing over the course of this process," Bentley told On3. According to the On3 Prediction Machine, Oklahoma is the favorite to land Bentley at 37.1%. LSU sits No. 3 with a 16.9% shot to land the QB. All four major recruiting services rank Bentley as a top 10 quarterback in the class, but On3 is highest on Bentley, slotting the Texas product as a top 50 overall recruit. LSU's 2026 recruiting class ranks No. 1 in the country, but the Tigers have yet to add a quarterback to the class. Only a few of the top 10 passers remain uncommitted, making Bentley a high priority for LSU. Bentley's recruitment took of in the last year after 2024 was his first season starting at the high school level. The 6-foot-1 QB offers promise at the next level. With a strong 2025 season, Bentley has the chance to finish as a five-star recruit.

Five recruits LSU football fans should know as the race for the No. 1 class heats up
Five recruits LSU football fans should know as the race for the No. 1 class heats up LSU football's 2026 recruiting class is the best in college football. The Tigers' class ranks No. 1 in the On3 Industry Team Rankings. The Tigers have nine commits, including seven four-stars and one five-star. LSU's average recruit has a rating of 92.48 -- only Alabama's recruiting class has a better average recruit rating. But LSU isn't done yet. We're about to enter the peak of recruiting season as the Summer approaches. Most recruits prefer to be early enrollees these days, which means top prospects want to have the process over and done with before their senior year of high school. Last year, most top prospects were off the board before September. 2026 could play out in a similar way. Brian Kelly and staff will add a handful of recruits to the 2026 class in the coming months. Here are five recruits LSU football fans should know as the race for the No. 1 college football recruiting class heats up. Four-star cornerback Havon Finney Finney is one of the top cornerbacks in the class. ESPN ranks the California prospect as a five-star while On3, 247Sports, and Rivals slot Finney as a four-star. The On3 Industry Rankings place Finney No. 6 at his position. Prying the four-star from Los Angeles could be tough, especially with the momentum USC has on the recruiting trail, but LSU secondary coach Corey Raymond has landed elite defensive back talent from California before. In 2020, California five-star Eli Ricks signed with LSU. Finney visited LSU multiple times this spring and the Tigers are in the thick of the race for the blue-chip corner. FIve-star lineman Lamar Brown Lamar Brown is a five-star and the No. 1 recruit in Louisiana. That makes Brown LSU's top priority. He remains on the board, but the On3 Prediction Machine gives the Tigers a 97% chance of landing Brown's services. Brown is a standout on the offensive and defensive line. It's unclear whether he'll play offense or defense at the next level. Recruiting sites project Brown as an offensive lineman, but earlier this year Brown said he wanted to play defensive line. Players with the size and athletic ability of Brown are in rare supply on both sides of the ball. Given Brown's recruiting ranking, adding Brown to LSU's class would bolster the Tigers' chances of finishing with the No. 1 overall class. Four-star wide receiver Boobie Feaster LSU's wide receiver class is already the best in the country. LSU has the No. 1 WR in the class, Tristen Keys, along with Jabari Mack, Kenny Darby, and Jakai Anderson. All four players are blue-chip recruits. It's getting crowded, but LSU can make room for a talent like Feaster. Feaster was originally one of the top players in the class of 2027 before reclassifying to 2026. According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Feaster is the No. 4 WR in the class of 2026. Rivals and ESPN both rank Feaster top three at his position. Feaster is from Texas, and the Tigers have to battle Texas and Texas A&M, but the Tigers are in a good spot here. Five-star offensive linemen Immanuel Iheanacho Immanuel Iheanacho is the No. 2 overall recruit in the class. LSU hasn't been a huge player here, but Iheanacho took a visit to LSU last month and included LSU in his top seven schools. There's a chance here. Iheanacho hails from Baltimore, Maryland. Regional schools like Penn State and Maryland have been considered the front runners, but LSU can make a national push. Tigers' offensive line coach Brad Davis is one of the top recruiters in the country. Don't bet on LSU winning this one, but its worth monitoring if LSU begins to make a push this Summer. Three-star offensive lineman Donel Robinson Brad Davis has had success recruiting offensive linemen from Mississippi. Tyler Miller, one of LSU's top 2025 recruits, was a Mississippi native. Now, Davis and the Tigers are in a good position with three-star Mississippi OL Donel Robinson. According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Robinson is the No. 41 ranked interior offensive lineman in the class and a top 500 overall recruit. Ole Miss is considered the favorite here, but don't count Davis and LSU out.

LSU football target, New Orleans native gets massive bump from On3
LSU football target, New Orleans native gets massive bump from On3 One of LSU football's top recruiting targets just got a massive bump from On3. New Orleans defensive end Zyron Forstall (2027) is now the No. 3 overall recruit in the country per the updated On300 rankings. Forstall is the No. 2 ranked recruit at his position and the top-ranked player in the state of Louisiana. LSU extended an offer to Forstall as he wrapped up his sophomore year of high school. LSU is always considered the favorite for New Orleans' top prospects and that rule applies here. Forstall's recruitment will be a national one, but LSU is in a good spot. According to the On3 Prediction Machine, LSU has a 79.3% chance of landing Forstall's services. Alabama and Ole Miss are also contenders for the blue-chip prospect. Rivals isn't as quite high on Forstall, ranking him as the No. 121 overall recruit in the 2027 class. Forstall isn't the only elite prospect in Louisiana's 2027 cycle. Quarterback and Baton Rouge native Elijah Haven remains the No. 3 overall recruit in On3's Industry Rankings. Haven and Forstall are both projected to be elite players at premium positions. Landing both would be a coup for LSU.
