Traffic disruptions expected in Damascus due to construction
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. () — Construction will be affecting traffic in Damascus for the next couple of days, the Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) said. Starting on Wednesday, there will be closures, lane shifts and temporary detours along Sweepstakes Road for the construction project. Construction will go on between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday. The Route 90 Ride On Bus could also be faced with delays as well. The following bus stops may also be moved: 26292: Sweepstakes Road & Cutstail Drive 26294: Sweepstakes Road & Cutstail Drive 26304: Sweepstakes Road & Cutstail Drive 26306: Sweepstakes Road & Cutstail Drive 26296: Sweepstakes Road & Newbury Road 26302: Sweepstakes Road & Showbarn Lane Commuters are asked to pay attention to signage and flaggers. Ride On Bus stop in Bethesda to close temporarily for watermain installation
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. () –The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) is reminding passengers that a Ride On Bus stop will temporarily close starting on March 9. Officials said the Ride On Bus stop #25642 at Southbound Rockville Pike (MD 355) between Locust Hill Road and West Cedar Lane in Bethesda will not be available beginning Sunday night. FareShare Program offers money to cover employees' public transit costs in Montgomery County The closure will go into place as crews install a watermain. The construction will impact bus routes 30 and 46 and several lanes will be closed in the area. Officials noted the lane closures will take place from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. every Sunday through Thursday until March 21.
