KZN retired judge: Never collusion in my time on the bench
DURBAN - KZN Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi has opened a can of worms.
His allegations of corruption are not just limited to the rot in the SAPS, but he also claims the justice system is infiltrated.
Mkhwanazi says there is collusion between judges and criminals.
It's an allegation that does not sit well with the first black Judge President of KwaZulu-Natal,
Vuka Tshabalala.

The former judge knows all too well about being a trailblazer. His law career spanned decades. From being the first black advocate of the Natal Bar Council in 1969, to being the first black Deputy Judge President in October 1998, and finally Judge President.
Tshabalala's journey in jurisprudence was not an easy one, and has been full of many obstacles.
A revolt from his colleagues at the Natal High Court, and even an aggressive journalist in a television interview. All of this is contained in his newly launched book 'On Trial'.

Having served the judiciary with integrity and dedication, Judge Tshabalala is shocked by Mkhwanazi's allegations of collusion, between justice officials and criminals.
Among his many achievements, judge Tshabalala would like to be remembered, as pioneer of judicial transformation. He introduced black women judges at a time when it was frowned upon.
